I used to love going to this A&W. Every other night when I was hungry after my night shift, I would go there and have my meal. Lately their service has gotten very poor. They would forgot items in my meal, drinks had running soda all over them and sandwich made improperly in a rush. 3 weeks ago at 11:30pm I went to get my meal. When I returned home and in an excitement opened my meal, I was so disappointed and disheartened. Had to sleep empty stomach. The sweet potato fries were raw and the chicken in the sandwich looked like it was fried over 10 times. When I bit in to the sandwich it felt like I bit in to a piece of hard bread crumb. To me this was not even that big of a deal becuse things happen. I took the sandwich back and I was told that only the manager could deal with the situation. I asked if I could get a refund and I was told the manager was on vacation. So I left my contact number. A week went by and no one had contacted me so by now I dont want anything else just a refund. So I went back again to get my $18 and yet again I was told the manager was supposed to call me but I never go any calls. So I left my number again and to this day nothing. This is what you call a poorly managed location. The manager clearly doesn't care about the customers especially the ones that come when he/she is not at the location. I will never ever go to this location again and I would advise everyone to make sure your orders are correct becuse they are not trustworthy.

I ordered a Chubby Chicken burger through the drive-thru, only to discover a 2 cm jagged bone inside. This was not only alarming but a serious food safety issue. I tried contacting the store immediately but received no response. After days of persistence, I finally reached their online customer service and dropped off the specimen at the store on July 15th. What followed was a staggering 4-month process of emails, follow-ups, and miscommunication. From being told by the location Manager to email the “owner’s son” at a personal Gmail address to receiving vague updates through social media, it feels like no one cared. It wasn’t until November 5th—4 months later—that a corporate representative confirmed the procedure was handled and assured me it was reported to health and safety authorities. While I appreciate the eventual response, the process was unnecessarily lengthy and frustrating. As a loyal customer, I expected better accountability and care from A&W, especially considering the seriousness of the issue. How does it take 4 months for a corporate franchise to document a simple incident and communicate it properly to the customer? This experience has shattered my trust, and I will not be returning to A&W. Photo of the bone attached.

Our food was ready and she denied to give my gf a tray and said they don't give trays at night either. My gf told me that there were lot of flies on the mouth of ketchup dispenser do that's why she didn't get it.There were flies at the table and at the resturant too which is quite annoying.The chicken in spicy habinero burger was stale and too salty.It felt like they re baked the old chicken patty as there was juice or crunch at all. My gf said she saw the girl touching the food with her bare hands as well. I am seriously disappointed in this place.I have been to other A&W's at night and nobody mentioned these policies .They seem made up.I will stick to the York Mills location.

Easily the worst experience of any A&W . First we had to wait a lot to get someone on the counter. This particular location that I picked up takeout from on August 13, 2020 was the worst A & W I think there might be in the world! Classically A & W provides reliable consistent service in food. Actually, it brings me back to find memories as a little child when they use to take your order and deliver it to you in person at your car. With that tray that attached to the driver's door while you dined in it. This location on Warden just south of the 401 was an expedition. Yes I said expedition and not exception!!

Firstly, I asked for a large burger "stacked" with 3 patties and cheese 🧀 of course. What did I end up with? 3 of the dinkiest little burgers that were one, crushed in the bag and pretty nothing but bun. Thankfully I noticed before we left the location's parking lot. I was so hungry and furious that I had to send the driver back inside not once but twice with his mask on to deal with the staff that unfortunately did not understand basic English meal order instructions. He said they were nice to him and finally after 2 visits inside and about 15-20 minutes later rectified the situation.

This was the start of our only vacation local road trip during this Pandemic and it was virtual ruined because I ended up with the runs and on the toilet at our Bed and Breakfast all night. My bowels had never made such a rumbling noise and it was the only thing I had eaten in almost 24 hours. And I had the worst smelling gas ever in my life! The burger was very warm but the meat was so so dry and saw dusty compared to the one's I've purchased anywhere else.

I say shame shame on this location. I think the health inspector should visit and the staff be properly retrained. Otherwise, I advise you don't visit! They didn't even offer us a free root beer for our order troubles?!?

On an upside note, my friend's chicken BLT was pretty good except it got all over him because they used way too much mayonnaise that was liquid-like. And he ended up with stains on his...

It was very disappointing to go to Warden Location for breakfast. Decided to go through drive through. There was one car ahead of me who paced the order and moved forward. I had to wait 11 minutes before someone came over the intercom to take my order. Moved forward and again when my turn came she had to take my oder and punched into the register. Waited for another 24 kinutes before I got my egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. No matter how healthy or how environmentally friendly the food is if the service is as bad as today nothing will bring the customer back. The girl at the window was unfriendly, incompetent with no respect to the paying customer. One person is not enough to service both the store front and drive through. This location is mismanaged and 200% I find it the owners fault. All employees follow orders. Saving few dollars if it is the reason to compromise the service in my opinion is not worth it and it not only affect the specific location but the franchise name as well. This was my third encounter with such nasty service. First time we said it's OK maybe the attendant had a long and rough day. Second time we had to wait 45 minutes for a regular menu item and afterwords they came up with excuses and said due to rush our order was forgotten. We accepted that giving them the benefit of the doubt. But today was the hay that broke the camels back. People go through drive through to get their menu order fast and efficient. Not wait a total of 37 minutes for a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I would strongly recommend the franchise look into this matter and do something about it. You have lost us as loyal customers. Unfortunately will have to give 1 because obviously 0 isnt an option… i went to grab food through drive thru and after i paid for my meal i asked the girl behind counter that id like to pay for the car behind me. Something a lot of people like to do randomly for a stranger

She proceed to question me why i want to do it or if i know the person? And she kept that ugly smirk on her face while keep asking the same question 7 times

Keep in mind i kept answering her “ because i feel like it there is no good reason “

Yet she proceeded to ask me question again but then looked back at the car behind me then she goes “ i dont think she likes you to pay for her she wont like it “ like bud who the h are you to speak on behalf of someone else ?

And she made the whole situation uncomfortable and creepy…

That been said i have the whole recording on my dash camera with voice recording so this will be shared on social media so people know.

If i feel like paying for someone then ill pay for it. It is no ones business WHAT the reason is.

Both the guy and the girl said “ it is not allowed to pay for someone else “ so this indian girl and guy made up their own rules.

I always liked this location but this one experience was super uncomfortable and unnecessary reaction on their end.

For the girl who thought she is doing “something”. If you never seen kindness in your life then dont stop others from doing kindness. Shame on both of them
