I want to share my honest review of this restaurant. As a regular customer, I usually order takeout on Thursdays or Fridays when my preferred chef, Sri, is working. Recently, I visited on a Saturday night, expecting a different chef. I called to place a pickup order and specifically requested well-done chicken. The restaurant's interior is decent , but the plain ambiance makes takeout more an option. Unfortunately, when my wife and I arrived home, we were disappointed to find that the chicken was undercooked, despite my clear request. It's frustrating to come home hungry from work only to find food that isn't properly prepared.I called the restaurant to report the issue, and a staff member apologized but couldn't make an immediate decision without consulting the chef and owner. They later offered a free chicken on our next visit, which didn't feel like an adequate solution given our experience. My wife enjoyed the gyro we ordered, so we decided to give the restaurant another chance the next day. However, we encountered rude service from two staff members. I also overheard concerning comments about customers wanting "free" items, which made me uncomfortable. While the restaurant has some good menu items, the inconsistent food preparation and customer service issues are concerning. I hope the management addresses these problems to improve the overall...
Read moreFirst of all - how can you ONLY charge $12.99 for this meal?! I happened to google 'Greek food near me' and this place came up so I'd thought I'd take a chance. Situated in a small plaza behind an A@W and the Shell gas station, this is a true hidden gem.
I ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner around lunchtime mid week, and when I opened the bag at first I thought they had mistakenly given me a larger sized dinner. The portion size is huge but more importantly the freshness and taste was on point. I think we're all used to the typical small overcooked white meat chicken souvlaki from other takeout places but I was shocked at the size of the chicken chunks and really happy it was grilled perfectly and not overcooked, and super juicy. I liked how they put the salad in a long flat container so when you put the dressing on, it covers most of the salad not just the top layer. Nice touch they add a few pieces of grilled buttered bread to the meal too.
Will definitely come back to try more...
Read moreI was really impressed (4.4/5) Open late - still cutting the gyros off the spit at 10pm on a Tuesday. Prices on the signs were so good, I’d make this a 4.7.
My first time here, and the staff were friendly and so nice. $20 a got me a side Greek, Chicken Souvlaki Dinner with double vegetables (I skipped rice/potatoes at night), and a side order of the freshly shaved gyro. The garlic sauce was outstanding (not tzatziki though) and I loved it. Better than a shawarma place.
The gyro melted in my mouth. I’d go back just for that.
The souvlaki was made with love. Tasty and moist. Not dry. (I didn’t read the other reviews-so not sure on the 4.2).
I’m looking forward to more when I pop in. On a side note (I didn’t take a pic), the window sign has lunch specials. Says $4.25 or something for lunch veal. I almost fell over. That pricing is 1988.
Enjoy for takeout mostly. The place isn’t really a fun place to eat in. Maybe a little less oil on...
