Poor service and customer service skills. Very rude when confronted. Call police to ask you to leave as a paying customer that puts money in their pocket ( this one and Dundas and Keele. Had a phone go missing around there still waiting for its return. Dundas and Keele. Yelling at the customer is never appreciated especially when the customers put money in their pocket. Poor food handling skills. Money and meat are never to mix as well with food prep cooking and serving. Better food handling skills. In my sense the customer is always right and does not now to rude employees pissing regulations that don't exist like a one hour dine in for a paying customer when people walk in use wifi for free bring their own food and their is no concern with them. On night I was asked to leave by police a customer was there before me, not asked to leave as is and continued to stay. Favoritism or biased either way. Yelling is never a form of getting ones point across and when you raise your voice to make yourself heard it settles which is outrageous. In the first place if I'm buying and sitting I'm more entitled to be in the establishment than a non paying customer sitting using wifi for free. So better expediting, food handling customer service skills and hygiene I wipe my table before sitting. Tables should always be wiped after a customer eats and leaves before the others sit down. Down time is not for just a walking is for multitasking. Again for Keele and dundas the same. Rude. Also if I don't remind myself to get the refills they ask you to leave before getting it more of a game show than a restaurant. I should be compensated to eat there for free for a year for the type of ignorance I've withstood frequenting these two Establishments. As well the bathrooms at the Keele and Dundas location are always looked and horrid conditions. In need of refreshing regularly out of toilet paper. The family washroom was out of service for over a month. Or more probably. There is no sink to wash hands in the eat/ dine in area as other establishments. I would like the managers numbers for both locations have asked repeatedly only to be meet with more ignorance and hostility. Really who owns these places need to give their employees a crash coarse at customer service. Outdoor patio never has the chairs out. Brought one out and was told to not do so . Due to only day and evening times are chairs allowed outside. I don't need a mom or dad telling me what to do hastfully at these places they are very rude. I would like to see the camera footage from day my phone went missing and was told it wasn't possible some how without calling the police first. Another hastle due to waiting over two and a half hours for something else with them . Yet they show up instantly for the a&w chain to kick me out. Sorry to say but this has been going on for to long and someone needs to work elsewhere maybe they will remember their customer service skills and courteousness / be courtious. If they look for oher jobs maybe they will take more pride in serving the customer. Patio is open if you ask me even if I have to bring my chair out myself. Not interested in being other people's Dad but tables wiped after each customer so I don't have to myself. And people people people customer service skills are the bread and butter of the food industry.Seperate food handling from cash and cooks cameras are on in the location.remember that . And always be kind and courteous to the customer regardless of the cover and if they pay we are all people who rely on each other like me sending this to correct bad leadership, listening and parenting . All things I'd rather do with my kids. As well for the record I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I was also involved in an alteration with some one due to washroom issues. I was assaulted all on camera and employee's were not responsive or respectable about it at all. All was caught on camera and still haven't gotten the manager's phone number... Maybe TPS owns a&w... LOL Google/body Cam's on...
Read moreExtremely disappointing and concerning – got sick after eating here
I visited this restaurant yesterday, on June 7th, 2025, around 10:00 PM, with my husband. We were coming back from an English proficiency test, exhausted and very hungry. We didn’t want to get home late and still have to cook, so we decided to stop by for a quick meal. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a terrible decision.
We ordered two burgers and a portion of onion rings to share. At first, the food seemed fine, but a few hours later, both my husband and I started feeling extremely sick. We had intense nausea, stomach cramps, and other gastrointestinal symptoms throughout the night. In my case, I’m still feeling very unwell, almost 24 hours later.
It’s incredibly disappointing, especially since we used to go to this restaurant and never had any issues before. But after this experience, I will never set foot in this place again. This was a serious oversight that deeply affected our health and well-being. I sincerely hope the management takes this seriously and thoroughly inspects their food hygiene and storage procedures.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, these platforms don’t allow that — I have to select at least one star just to submit this review. But my true rating for this place is ZERO.
I’m writing this review to warn others who might consider eating here: be very careful. A simple meal should never leave anyone in the condition I’m...
Read moreFood did not taste fresh. Ordered onion rings and when I picked up my order, they sealed the bag. Anyone knows that when it comes to anything fried, sealing anything just creates moisture hence the soggy onion rings. Burgers tasted like they were sitting out, every burger I ordered looked depressed. Came here for a late night craving and left with regret smh. Only good thing was the coffee tasted good. Oh and when I came back for a root beer which they missed the staff acted confused lol. Also found something hard while chewing into one of the burgers. Looks like plastic.. Go to another a&w if you care about...
