Saw this new restaurant on Tiktok. Drove there and checked it out. Take out restaurant. Has a few seats only. Not a family diner. Ammis means Mommy So it’s MaMa kitchen serving Indian & Pakistan food. Manager was on site. Went there outside of peak hours. So had more time to chat. Service : above average. Very attentive. Basically the manager explained half of the dishes on display. Must try: paratha similar to the Asian green onion pancake without green onion. High gluten flour pancake. Very nice I hope they would come up the lunch or dinner combo menu soon. I only buy single serving. So it does not make any sense for singles going there to buy takeout unless you need more than 1 serving Price is $$. I had the butter chicken, paratha and rice with mixed veggies (just like green giants veggie) Butter chicken is sweeter than other Indian places and less heat. It is nice. I actually prefer this sweetness and spiciness I don’t feel like needing to cool off after finished my meal. I would give it 4 to 4.5 star. If they can put English description next to each dish on the counter. It’s better for customers to understand. Emphasize boneless in the English description would help. After all I hope Ammis stays and excels. One more good local business Toronto badly needs. I will go back again because of the paratha.

I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my whole order. I usually order from Aafrien or Lageez and thought I would try this new place. For one, I spent $42 for a butter chicken with an offer of buy 1, get 1 free. Well, they either split one serving into 2 containers or gave me 2 child portions as there was nothing to the servings and the sauce seemed watery. Two, the samosas were horrible, it was like pureed smash potatoes and no flavor. Three, the garlic naan was thick and dry with no garlic on it. I contacted Uber but they don't deal with this area of complaint as I feel I should get every penny back that I spent. I brought the food home and nobody else even wanted it after they tasted it.🫤 Don't waste your money here, for the same or less, there are other amazing restaurants to choose from where you will actually enjoy your meal and will be worth the money you spend.

We got the chance to check out this new and authentic Indo-Pak restaurant in Scarborough, and we loved seeing how their delicious dishes got made! Handmade naan, curries made to perfection, and overall a restaurant built on a solid foundation of passion and love! They have some awesome promos going on right now, such as: - BOGO free butter chicken - Tandoori chicken bowl $8.99 (1 chicken leg, Pulao, Daal Tarka, Raita) - Family deal: $34.99 (4 tandoori chicken legs, pulao, daal tarka, naan) - Weekend deal: Halwa Puri $7.99 If you’re ever craving some authentic Indian food, you should try this place out! It’s definitely worth a try!

I normally get my fish fingers from Hyderabad - and while those are still very, very good - these Lahori Fish (fish fingers: like fried pc of sliced fillets) - were also delicious.

I was smart and asked for Tamarind sauce, as well as the mint sauce it came with. And the owner's son even offered me a sampling of their butter chicken, which I will come back to buy a full size of.

The paratha rolls here are also quite popular, even though I have never had them myself.

The spices really pop, and the fresh lime and mint really refresh and cool your mouth and senses at the same time. I enjoyed this on a nice summer's day and was very pleased.

Thanks to the owner for his chef quality hospitality. Best of luck as you grow!

Authentic Indo Pak, as the name says.

I do recommend...
