I was walking along Queen Street and wondering where I would have my coffee since several of my beloved coffee places went belly up when I came across Atlantis Coffee. It didn't look much from the outside. The two small tables on the patio implied (in my head) that the inside was small and probably crowded... then I entered the space, and a smile exploded across my face. One of the most refined and spacious steampunk-style avenues welcomed me inside. Behind the counter was a handsome and friendly bartender who greeted me kindly. Without further ado, the place was fantastic! The raspberry croissant I ordered was out of this world (not to eat often, though ;) since calorically it was a tiny bomb). This place will be one of my favourite places on Queen.

We were drawn to this place for their $9.99 brunch menu on Sundays only. Walked in got seated right away, ordered a few mins later. I started to notice people who came after us and ordered after us was getting their meals before us, we asked about it and our server apologized and said the chef is working on it....almost an hour later we got our food! The menu is simple and it was not that busy where it should of taken an hour for 3 orders of toast, eggs, bacon and homefries. Besides the extremely long wait for our meals, the food itself was good, eggs and bacon cooked perfectly! Too bad our wait time made me give this place 3 stars.

As a partner of a barrister, I tried lots of good coffee around the world, and I have to say this is so far the best coffee I had in Toronto. The Ethiopia bean is amazing in both hot and ice latte. Fruity, citrus, strawberry. It brings all the sweetness from the milk makes a perfect balance. The Brazil bean is showing all what you expect, peanut, vanilla. Croissant is amazing. Also tried their drip couple weeks ago, never expect a drip can brings you tasting notes. The owner is super friendly, definitely worth every penny spent. Amazing place!

I typically never write reviews, but I must for my own conscience. I got an Iced Americano and it was the worst coffee I have ever tasted in my entire life. I really don't want to talk poorly about one's products especially since the owner is nice and the service was decent, but the coffee was terrible. It was so acidic to the point that it was sour tasting, and I had to throw it out. This is such a shame as I love coffee, and have tried many places in the Toronto area. I went an hour before closing, so maybe what I experienced was just a 'bad batch'. I even questioned if that was just a off day, and that the coffee usually doesn't taste like that. I kind of want to go back and try again to confirm my theory, but I don't think its worth it if I end...
