I've been a frequent customer at this location since their soft opening and I must say although I do thoroughly enjoy Bobacha as a whole, tonights service was not the greatest. There were two staff members working when I arrived at 7:45pm and it was very busy. One of the staff members was preparing to leave and I suspect they had possibly stayed a bit longer than they were scheduled to assist the closing barista with the rush of customers this evening. I had ordered the blueberry blues, which is a flavor I have had before so I know what it is meant to taste like. Tonight my beverage was made incorrectly as there were a lot of what appeared to be black tea leaves bunched in with the tapioca. Unfortunately this made the beverage unenjoyable, which was noticed upon my first few sips. I circled back to get the tea leaves strained out possibly but when I returned, it was still busy and only one barista was left to handle the second wave of customers. I have a pretty good understanding as to how staffing works and before I leave my feedback I would like to point out that this is in no way the baristas fault. Had there been adequate staffing with the volume that was expected to be done, my drink would have been just fine. Just throwing some feedback out there. On a Saturday evening in Parkdale I feel it's irresponsible to only have one female barista working a closing shift. It can easily compromise their safety and creates a stressful work environment. Also it leaves room for a lot of errors to be made towards the quality of your beverages. And with the combination of receiving Uber orders and in person customers, something's most certainly gotta give. Tonight the quality I love Bobacha for was severely compromised due to this oversight in staffing. It might be helpful to have some awareness of events that might be happening nearby to help anticipate having the extra support. Alternatively I would suggest scheduling a "pre closer" that can be cut if there is low traffic to save on labour, as having someone leave at 8 when your hours are set to 10pm is not efficient. Additionally on the evenings when you close an hour later( weekends) I would think it would be better to have two people to close the shop instead of putting all the pressure on one barista to handle virtual and in person orders along with basic cleaning/ closing procedures all on their own. Just something I observed from my experience this evening. I will most certainly continue to be a Bobacha customer because my experience up until now outweighs tonight's mishap. I hope my feedback can be taken into consideration to improve for the future....
Read moreWhen i first walked in the abode, i couldn’t help but notice the warm smell of tapioca. Beside me, The tables were ever so clean like I’ve never seen before. I went to the counter, and to my suprise, the menu was packed with many varieties of options going from waffles to cakes to bubble tea. Me and my friend settled on a table and felt very comfortable after only a few seconds. The buble tea when entering my mouth, was like an explosion of flavours burst out on my tongue and flew down my throat in the most perculiar way that i had to stop for a moment and reimburse my feelings. I had the same feeling when giving birth to my daughter Delarose. Anyways, the kitchen was very fast and efficient . However i would love for the interior to have a little more style like adding plants for exemple....
Read moreQuick update: still consistent with their bubble teas, then stopped by for their smash burger pop up event. Overall the single patty burger was good. But I found that even the burger right away the bun got too soggy and burger fell apart too quickly. Fries were 10/10 also their signature sauce. Would recommend Quality bubble tea. Definitely go check it out. I’ve had three different drinks here and all of them came out perfectly. Tapioca balls were good balance of being soft on the outside and a chewy on the inside. -Blueberry Blues. (Blueberry black tea) -Lychee Green tea (real lychee jelly had it added on) -Jasmine Green tea (properly steep...
