Basir Azizi Bakery — Restaurant in Toronto

Alert. We have been getting cookies from Basir Azizi for the past 8-9 years and it is has been such a disappointing experience for the past 1 year. I went it yesterday and got a big tray of cookies hoping that it will turn out well this time but to my disappointment the quality of cookies has gone down and so has the shape and so has the taste. They charge an extremely high price as compared to even Italian bakeries who have perfectized their baking but it is such a big disappointment that I had to write this review. I called them today and told them that the cake they gave me appears to be several days old and quality of the cookies have gone bad. I told them that they should take it as a positive feedback and work to make it better but instead of listening to me or being respectful the lady on the phone tells me that they have perfect cookies and nothing is wrong and about the cake she tells me that the cake should be fine and doesnt know what happened? I was like what? I asked her if I would be call to lie to them about a bad product? She tells me well we have no complains. I can 100% say that people who have been cookies from Basir for the past 10 years or so definitely know that it has gone really really bad. Well, I think this is the right time for another cookie market to turn the wheels so that are finally over the Basir Azizi Bakery. Absolutely shameful for hanging up the phone on me whoever...

I went yesterday to buy Afghani cookies, before me in the lineup, there was an old lady. She ordered 4 pound cookies, and one small box of cake. she paid $100 and they return $20 back this old lady ask the cashier guy why You give me $20 how much is per LB guy said 9.99, She asked him this is not gold. This is a regular Afghani cookies And this cake is for $40. The cake was very small and they charge her $40 for that, She said I order 3 pound not 4 pound why you are giving me 4 pound the guy was saying I already charge you I tell the guy Please return one LB and also she said I don’t need cake so return the cake also because she was not good in English And her Dari Was also very weak so that’s why I was talking with her in Pashto so I tell the guy she want to return one LB and a cake and she is asking that other locations this is 7.99 per pound $7.99 dollar, if it is $9.99 still $80 is too much for 4 pound cookies and 1 small box of cake. Then they call the other lady from back when she came first she told me can you pay for your cookies because she doesn’t want me to be there And help that lady and I was also with my family so I am telling everyone please don’t buy from this location, they are cruel They don’t Care about other people they just want their pocket fully from dollars shame on these...

Don’t come here the worse Afghan bakery ever I went there yesterday and I bought some cream rolls when I saw them they were old stiff and taste bitter when I went back I said this is old it tastes like it’s been in the freezer for 80 years she was saying we don’t accept returns. And she kicked me out. Second of all I went there another time like 2 - 3 weeks ago there was cockroaches on the sweets which was so disgusting I said there is cockroaches she didn’t say anything. But gave me a dirty look I don’t recommend this place to you guys. if you don’t wanna get food poisoning or want to get sick don’t buy sweets or anything from this bakery. I also reported this to the health ministry go fix you’re attitude before opening a bakery store I feel so bad to the person who owns the store with their rude employees that doesn’t know how to respect their customers.
