Title: Disappointing Experience at Royal Pan Restaurant
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
I recently visited Royal Pan Restaurant located on Markham and Lawrence, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. From the mediocre food to the lackluster customer service, it was an overall disappointing visit.
Let's start with the food. I ordered their pan dish, which was advertised as one of their specialties. However, I found it to be quite mediocre. The flavors were bland, and the ingredients seemed lackluster. It definitely did not live up to the hype surrounding it. Moreover, the kaesar lassi I ordered had an unmistakable taste of spoilage. It was sour and unpleasant, leaving me with no choice but to abandon it after a few sips. This clearly indicates a lack of attention to quality and proper food handling.
Aside from the subpar food, the customer service was another letdown. When I brought up my concerns about the pan dish and the spoiled lassi, the staff showed a complete lack of empathy. They seemed disinterested and unresponsive to my complaints. To make matters worse, they did not offer any alternative solutions such as a refund or a replacement dish. This demonstrated a lack of concern for customer satisfaction and a disregard for basic customer service principles.
In today's competitive restaurant industry, it is essential for establishments to prioritize customer satisfaction and address issues promptly. Unfortunately, Royal Pan Restaurant failed to meet these basic expectations. The lack of care and consideration displayed by the staff left me with a negative impression of the establishment as a whole.
Considering my disappointing experience with the mediocre food, spoiled lassi, and the overall lack of customer service, I cannot recommend Royal Pan Restaurant to others. There are plenty of other dining options in the area that offer better food and superior...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with this location in specific. I have been a regular customer for this location for over a year now and i have been to other locations as well. I have tried to hold myself on enough occasions to not write a 1 star review but since its been a ongoing issue it needs to be reported and fixed.
First and for-most, this location either does not have enough staff or the owner is trying to cut on the labour cost big time. I have literally called this location 10 times (8:00pm through 8:10pm) along with my friend calling as well for at-least 8-9times, i understand its a busy period of dinner rush but as a busy franchise they should have knowledge to put in extra staff during those peak hours. However to my utmost surprise they did not answer a single call, not even hassled to pick up the phone and put the customer on hold for brief moment. This proves how irresponsible the management really is and shows how they do not care about their business either.
Secondly, every time i have been at this location they have never given me less than 25 minutes of wait time. I understand the wait time in peak hours but 25-30 minutes each time i have visited has not been ideal experience. They should really work on their management and operations to get things right. This is a mess of a location.
I wouldn't recommend this location if you are short on time or don't like calling somebody over and over again to not get a...
Read moreI have been to this Royal Paan location a few times over the past year or so. Everytime I'm in the area, either for a haircut or groceries or doctor's, I try & pop into this place.
Previously, I've come with my son & or wife & enjoyed the the Royal Kulfi Falooda (comes in a bowl), Rose milk shake, sprinkled with dry fruits, which my son enjoys & Royal falooda ofcourse.
I can't recollect what we ate the last time, but today, my mother-in-law was with me & I wanted her to have Masala Dosa, but she wanted medu wada or batata wada, luckily both were not available. Reluctantly, she agreed to have the Masala dosa & when she saw it, said she will take it home & eat..while my order of Dahi puri was getting ready, she felt hungry & just dug into the Masala Dosa- she said it was delicious & too much for her 😀, so we took the rest home.
My Dahi Puri was ready & I had no intention of doing a take out.
Trust me when I say that, as soon as I put the 1st loaded puri in my mouth, this Dahi Puri transported me back home to the streets of Mumbai & the few places that can make it as good as Royal Paan! 😋
To the girl who prepared the Dahi Puri today (& I told you this before leaving), the Dahi Puri was excellent, just like back home!
Note: Dahi Puri (in Mumbai, it's Dahi batata puri) is my all time favorite chaat food, so since I found this place in Toronto, I'm definitely coming back...
