Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Toronto

Worst experience after many years of visit. My sister and daughter accompanied me. My sister placed her order with one of the 4 persons serving. She got her order and sat down to eat. I started my order for a Layered Sundae which took 5 minutes to prepare cause of the many questions I received regarding my choices (I had wanted the one shown in the picture..kept telling the server give me the one in the pic, but I appreciated him asking me over five times as to my choice). During this process I asked the other server who I found out later is the son of the man behind the counter whom I knew for many years) to sell me a three scoop in a cup for my daughter so that she at least could join my sister and eat together. He said no and refused to serve me, I asked the girl, he told the girl not to serve me. I inquired his reasoning when there are 4 servers and two customers. I explained that it would be nice if she can join her aunt. I told him I will pay for both upfront or charge me for my daughter's ice cream as she is a customer in the line and at that time there was no other customers in the line. He said very sternly with a raised voice, "no! that's not how we do things here."

We had to wait for about 7 minutes for our order to be complete. My sister had already finished hers.

I spoke with the server (possible owner's son) who dictated my wait. That I knew his dad for so many years and this never happened before. "He said this is how it is and always was"

Not true. I will not...

Here's my honest review of my visit to Baskin-Robbins located in the Woodbine Mall.

I'm so excited to share this review with you as I have been visiting this BR since I was a kid. The owners are fantastic and always willing to allow you to try a flavour. Their store front is always clean and presentable, and they always serve you as fast as they can.

Whenever we visit Woodbine Mall, we always make a habit to at least walk by the store as it's so close and centrally located within the mall. Anytime you come by the Fantasy Fair you can't help but want to grab some ice cream.

There is always plenty of parking and seating can be limited during PEAK periods. The business also offers take out options and they even do cakes. If you happen to be @ Woodbine Mall, do yourself a favour and check out this location. I give this business a well deserved 5/5 stars.

Horrible customer service skills. I asked associate to sample mint chocolate chip for my seven-year-old son just to make sure he liked it before purchasing it. The associate then set due to covid we do not give samples. But think of it how different is giving a sample from giving ice cream cone. I called three other locations because I was curious to see what they would say. They all give samples I cleaned what I experienced at this Woodbine mall location and they agree it's the same thing as giving ice cream cone or a cup to a customer. This associate was just lazy and has a very poor customer service skills. I usually have a lot of parties and get my cakes here all the time but this location for sure lost...
