This was quite an unpleasant experience, which is a shame because I thought this place was pretty good when it first opened. I'm unsurprised, however, to see a Google review from a few days ago that mentions my exact experience with them today. I walked into a very smoky place, although they weren't cooking anything. It was just a lingering smoke in the air. I wish I could say that it was the only concern. However, the food and the portion size were very under par. Bland white rice, chicken sitting in a hot pan, and our fries? They were already cooked from however long ago and sitting in the basket. They also completely robbed us of our Hummus and Tzatziki. We spent almost $70 in there, and they gave us the smallest amount! I was shocked. I was also under the impression that getting Tzatziki and Hummus included as a portionable side was standard. It was truly the size of a tablespoon. The Tzatziki wasn't even Tzatziki! It was some watered-down mint concoction. Our side salads had zero dressing on them. Like, okay? They were out of their usual food containers, so we also got them in a smaller version of what we usually get. I rarely complain, but I really hope they do better. Sacrificing quality isn't okay. Unfortunately, I think this will be the last...
Read moreOverall the wraps where very impressive and stands out from all the dozens of shawarma places across the city. I wish I could have rated 4.5.
They make/bake freshly each wrap in house which I've never encountered before and not only tasty yet huge. Next came your selection of the usual sauces and veggies before the pile of sliced off typical shawarma chicken was put on and it's a good amount... this wrap is huge and weighty. Hot sauce seemed 'hot' and homemade. Next time I'd ask for more sauces as it could use a bit more.
The falafel balls were not our favourite for 'doneness' and density. Lighter and more cook would be great. We'll stick with the chicken wraps.
I'd have given a 5 star rating if 1: the process moved a bit faster. When ordering multiple wraps, or I can imagine when busy, I likely wouldn't stick around. 2: If the toasting of the finished wrap resulted in more 'crunch factor' . We all found it too soft, can easily fall apart, so a purposeful multi-side toasting or grilling (like Boustan does) might send this to 'best shawarma wrap in the city'.
Very nice service experience, while slow, and I'd overall highly recommend giving it a try in non busy hours especially if starving. Two people could easily split one wrap for a medium...
Read more04/14/25 -Visited close to closing and ordered a chicken shawarma plate to go. I took the fries. I think they should ditch the fries. It's not authentic and ended being too much food. The chicken didn't seem like the best quality and is weirdly salty (it looked nothing like the pictures others posted here of their chicken though the vegetables, in fairness, were fresh enough). I had to drink two glasses of water after the meal. I didn't appreciate that the help scooped the rice out of the pan with his hands (gloves on) to put in the takeout container. It's not appetizing and it's not good hospitality. It's a family business and help should be supervised, not running the show. He was friendly and packed everything well. I feel there are different quality standards depending on time of day. On waking the following day, my stomach feels off. For the desserts, we need a list of what's being offered and the prices on the display. I ordered a container of baklava.
Good but I don’t see how it differs from any other shawarma place though the hospitality was nice. Ordered chicken shawarma. It was cut in half and could be easily 2 servings. Lebanese beverage was nice. I brought my own utensils for dine-in. Fork was needed to...
