BeaverTails — Restaurant in Toronto

Didn't love the service we got. We ordered a beavertail, and were given it within a few minutes. As we walked away we noticed that it was not really warm and the dough was tougher. We went back and mentioned that it was not right, and asked if it was made fresh. We were first told it was fresh and that is how it should be. We then mentioned that it was cold and didn't feel fresh. She again said it was fresh, and then called the manager/senior staff member. He asked what was wrong and then mentioned that they make a few beavertails and keep them aside. We mentioned that we've had bevertails at other places and never had this issue, and would like it made fresh. They made a fresh one, and gave it to us. I was with someone who had never had a BeaverTail before and I had been going on about how good they were. What we received was cold and hard as if the pastry had been made hours before. It was not hot and fresh at all. I had to explain to the person I was with that they usually aren't this awful. I should've known something wasn't right when I couldn't even smell them being made. My second time getting beavertails from here for me and my family! We love it! It’s always made fresh and tasty! It’s soooo delicious.
