Yesterday i visited Toronto island store, i have ordered 6” veg patty sub, patty ws nt grilled nd bread was all dry nd cold, there was no sauce inside the sub/on veggies, it was all outside even the paper wrap was all wet, took my sub sat on bench took first bite it was pathetic sub i hv ever had in my life, i took pictures nd thrown in the bin, i sat there for few mins while coming back i thought im passing the store i should let them know about the quality, there was middle aged lady she was not ready to listen she keep on saying get the sub back i said listen to me im not here to get another sub i came here so that you will be careful for other customer order, she started yelling shouting keep on saying only thing i can do make another wrap what has hpnd hpnd, nd top of that she said it was your mistake why did you asked to add all the veggies nd 4 sauces, we always recommend customer to add fresh veggies nd not more than 3 sauces, i asked her when did this started Cuz i never knew that there is restriction for veggies nd sauces nd even if this is the rule why didnt you told me when you were preparing my order her and was it was your mistake you should have asked us Her answers makes no sense to me nd on top of that het arrogance, being rude towards me nd yelling on me not at all acceptable When she mentioned many a times only thing i can do make new sub for you
I was like ok make new sub nd now ill also watch carefully as you recommended adding only few veggies nd 3 sauces
This lady’s behaviour changed immediately nd keep on saying now you want free sub in starting you said i dont want any sub One male employee intertwined im saying sorry on her behalf , this employee atleast listen to me what i was saying
I told this lady first rule of customer service is listen your customer carefully nd you are keep on yelling nd shouting
Is this the service you provide ?
I asked this lady if dont want to speak unprofessional person like you pls call supervisor or manager
She said today in store we are only employees no manager
Subway can you pls ans this ?? You guys dont trained your employees how to be professional nd listen customer but you trained them to lie ??
Nd if that lady was right that there was no supervisor or manager was on duty at that time then it pathetic cuz manager or supervisor had to be there in any retail store
My mood was all spoiled nd it was pathetic experience i ever had
After reaching home i have checked this particular stores reviews nd in every review people mentioned about middle aged ladyy’s behaviour im not sure that everyone indicating about same pathetic employee if its same person you need to take this seriously
I want to escalate this cuz my day had been spoiled by this stupid arrogant...

The middle-aged lady at the counter was not only unprofessional but also created a toxic environment. She was yelling at a young girl who was trying to put vegetables in the sandwiches, making the entire situation very uncomfortable for customers.
To make matters worse, she was wrapping sandwiches without wearing gloves and then touching the payment screen with her bare hands. She wasn't wearing a cap or an apron either, which raises serious hygiene concerns. Her communication skills were poor, and she seemed highly uneducated, appearing to be there solely for the money without any regard for customer service or basic cleanliness standards.
Additionally, when I attempted to leave a tip, she explicitly told me not to bother, saying they don't receive them anyway. This was already frustrating, but what happened next was even worse. She offered me two free chips in exchange for writing a positive review, which felt like a bribe. This is highly unprofessional and dishonest, undermining the trust and integrity that should be expected from a service provider.

Read moreCouple days ago, we went to Toronto Islands and It was beautiful day and was there to enjoy our day but Subway lady ruined our mood’s..In this many years never had such a bad experience with any food outlet. We ordered three veggie patty 6”inches subs and 2 drinks and chips, and they put pinch of veggies, like they just sprinkled the veggies and we didn’t realise that she charged us $60 bucks. The service was pathetic, never repeated the order, refused to grill, very less options for vegetables, and didn’t pack the subs they were supposed too, didn’t use any stickers, no napkins were given, no receipt provided and most importantly no smile or greeting and being rude. When we realised that we got charged this much, we approached her and firstly she gave us wrong receipt and then she ran into the back side and and then printed us our receipt and she left the counter right after and didn’t come back to the front to talk. Because on the receipt she mentioned that we got charged for Big veggie’s when it was just regular subs but again she still charged us more for Big Veggie’s as well. Honestly, never recommend this place to anyone. The lady was so rude and clever to charge people way too much.
