I ate here this evening with my family and this was the worst experience I’ve had in a VERY long time. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME, GO ANYWHERE ELSE. The server should not be employed as a server, period. I have worked in the industry for a decade and have never seen someone so horrible and uninterested in doing their job. She was a woman with long black hair, beware if she is your server, I would recommend just walking out. To summarize our experience, we had walked in as a party of 5 with a baby. She was unsure where to sit us at this family friendly restaurant because we had a child. Imagine a restaurant offering a promotion for children but then not knowing where to sit a child in your completely empty dinning room. We had to request a booster seat for the child multiple times, finally our server wasn’t even the person to bring it to the table. From the moment we received our drinks the service was insanely horrible. We requested a refill and a water that just never came. They brought out the appetizer at the same time as our main meal and it was cold. WE COULD SEE THE SERVE TALKING TO ANOTHER SERVER AT THE BAR WHILE OUR APPETIZER WAS READY. When we mentioned that the food was cold (genuinely the minute it has arrived, we tried one bite and already knew) we had another server try to tell us this is common practice. We have eaten out at Boston pizza many times prior, I can clarify that this is not common practice. Multiple parties at the table stressed that the appetizer was cold (why did we have to say this more than once?) the server then told us she would take it off the bill as if she was doing us a favour and that this was not her fault for leaving it to get cold while she chatted at the bar. Keep in mind it took over 30 minutes to get out food, during that whole time she did not check on the table once, she was not working, only gossiping with another server. We all had ordered pasta yet, our server had forgotten the salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese so WE HAD TO GO TO THE KITCHEN TO ASK FOR THIS because she was nowhere to be found. The service beyond this point got even worse. When we finally paid the bill the server started muttering things below her breath, obviously our tip reflected our experience. Throughout the entire meal we we felt ignored and unwelcome, it did not seem like they wanted us to be in their restaurant. Even on a walk back from the washroom two employees were blocking off the path to the dinning room and ignored by polite excuse me. Please keep in mind that my parents had driven from Ottawa to come to the zoo with myself, my sister and my one year old niece today, to end the day with this underwhelming experience is a horrible reflection of our city. I expect a prompt response and resolution or I will be sharing this experience and escalating this concern. This experience was more than unacceptable, if a manager or owner conducts their restaurant in this manner they should not work in the...
Read moreOmg, what a dump ..things have changed at this particular location for the worse. Perhaps its the kids and non Canadian atmosphere of staff....that is my observation that is my truth. Its one of those locations where the hostess, who likes to twirl her hair and looked stunned because her word wasn't good enough believes it all ends with her and she hesitates to get the manager as if.your not aloud to ask for one. I asked three times with the stunned look.on her face. First of all we walk in , we are told we have to wait 20minures even though the place is empty, its about 8.45pm. I ask why, she responds they have to clean the tables, I challenge that, u cant clean one booth?...then she says they ran out of food..huh?...then she says they ran out of clean cutlery what??...ok Manager comes...FINALLY..I pull hin aside we talk, he gets me a table. Prior he says they were veey busy ok cool. But u can clean a table. I further say to him your young waitress seems to have an attitude when I asked for u and I then say shes saying u ran out of food but she has zero clue what I want. We take a seat. Here comes a waitress...very nice, soft spokes and seems to be use to taken a hit for the team on regular asbthis place is a disaster. For 20minutes 99percent of dirty tables were not touched for cleaning. One girl is doing it periodically seen. No one else is helping her...I have never ever seen anything like this is a business restaurant. I tell my other half let's fo many times but she talks menout of it as we are close to home and its fairly late. The drink comes...cant taste any alcohol. We send back immediately. Waitress returns...no drink. Instead she tries an upsell for a larger one...ummmmm no keep it. Chicken wings come decent size, no fries though as ordered. Clearly the waitress forgot. I say nothing as far as u forgot. Instead it arrives ten minutes later as she played it off calmy when I asked when she brought the wings. My partner did not give waitress a tip....not really her fault but hey she works there. My partner waa pisses however she was.quiet about it. The no tip said it all. IWILL NEVER EVER EVER GO back to this Boston Pizza near the Cineplex and Walmart in the Morningside and 401 area. I cannot even tell.you how long those tables remained dirty dirty dirty around us....Good luck wirh that....bring back normal...
Read moreFood is good here and we frequently visit BPs across Toronto, however, we had a very rude, passive aggressive server at lunch (Tuesday Oct 29). He showed us our table, put some menus there and walked away. At our table we saw a sign for lunch specials and asked him about it. He seemed annoyed that we asked about specials, walked away and brought some lunch menus (it was 1pm, their lunch ends at 3). When he returned we had questions about menu items and he kept saying they are "healthy options" not explaining what it meant (is it the portion size, is it the ingredients that are different?). Very bizarre interaction with this guy. Eventually he said "I gave you the regular menu at the start because the lunch menu has healthier options and you're better off ordering from the regular menu"! Wtf is that even supposed to mean?! He made it sound like a) we were not health conscious or b) the portions of the specials are ridiculously small and not worth it. In any case the three of us ended up ordering from the regular menu. He never came by to ask if we needed anything even though the restaurant was completely empty other than one singular diner who was leaving. At the end of the meal he brought us a bill, when we asked for separate bills he completely ignored us and proceeded to take out his phone from his pocket. My friend asked again if he could please provide separate bills, which he did not respond to again, turns out he was using the calculator on his phone to divide the bill in 3! He handed the credit card machine to us without even acknowledging what we said. Talk about passive aggressive behavior! None of us were rude to him at any point so we don't understand his behavior, other than perhaps he is racist and did not want to serve BIPOC women. When we were done paying he just did his signature walk away without saying anything. How extremely rude. I did a minimal tip for his minimal service, but honestly should not have tipped him at all. Management needs to look into this asap! We frequent BP Restaurants in Toronto, this was our first time coming to a location for a weekday lunch and this location...
