It's one of many food stores in the food court that provides rice, meat, veggies, etc that appeal to Asian cuisine. The food tasted great (Rice with mixed vegetables and Louisiana chicken), especially the meat. The price was alright for what my girlfriend and I got ($11.30 total).
However, the service provided was completely unsatisfactory. If it wasn't for the decent lunch meal, this would have been a 1-star rating. The staff misled us to believe that we were getting a certain portion for the price of a combo we ordered. But once the portions were placed out, they argued that it was otherwise, wasting our time. Honestly, their fluency in English wasn't the best but I won't discredit them on that. However, they spent most of their time gossiping to each other in their language rather than communicating with us on what to do to fix the issue. Instead, the problem basically dragged out for longer than it needed to be. No apologies either for the misinformation. No service with a smile. Extremely poor customer service from the four of them that were working at the time.
As well judging by the container size and the meat serving they gave out, it appeared to be only two-thirds of what is expected, which leads me to believe they aren't competent in their jobs. I'm not blaming their whole food chain on one visit. But really, they need better staff at...
Read moreBeen eating here for years since I work nearby. The Bourbon Street Grill's bourbon chicken at the Fairview Mall location is a lot better than the chain location at the Eaton Centre. Portion sizes have gotten a bit smaller (they used to use styrofoam containers but now they're using plastic containers that have individual portion areas and the new containers hold less... and most places have been impacted by covid so costs are up and portions are smaller no matter where you eat).
Food is consistently decent and they're good with replenishing food if they see it's running low. They usually have customers lining up but the staff are fast so I never have to wait too long even during the lunch hour rush.
Combo #1 means that you get your choice of rice or noodle, one meat, and one vegetable. I usually get a combo #1 with a bottle of pop and it adds up to $14. Not cheap but you know that you're getting real meat and fresh veggies.
The quality of food does suffer closer to the end of day/closing time but that's common with any food court place (chefs aren't going to be cooking fresh food around closing time and will be serving whatever is left from...
Read moreTHE MOST TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I was waiting in the line for about ten minutes. The lady with gasses said I was not in the line and asked me to go back waiting again for another ten minutes. The customer behind me literally told her that I was waiting in front of them, but she just ignored me and ask them what they wanted to order. The way she said is super rude and she even rolled her eyeballs to me when I didn’t even say anything. I was speechless. I asked her coworker (the cashier) about the manager’s contact number or email address. They looked at each other and refused to give me the contact number. Then the rude lady stared at me like the way she was going to eat me, then started yelling to other customers that I was wrong and started talking trash about me with the maintenance guy with black shirt in mandarin. They probably assume I didn’t know what they were talking about, but I understand everything. I am so disappointed and traumatized by the customer service. It is the first time and will be my last...
