BPC CHICKEN — Restaurant in Toronto

We were not blown away but I think it started when we walked in the door. The ordering process was easy, I used their website and placed my order within 5 mins. Super easy and clean. It told me my order would be ready in 15 mins which was perfect. Also, I loved that it shows 45 mins for grilled whole chicken before you order, so you avoid a long wait if you are in a rush.

The issue for us happened when we entered the location. My partner parked and ran in, we actually drove the wrong way so we took over 20 minutes to get to our food. When he walked in there was no customers but lots of staff who ignored him. After someone finally turned around they had to pack the food still. He noticed they didn't include the sauce we paid for and spoke up and they gave to him. When I unpacked the food, I had ordered salad and potatoes and we got rice and potatoes.

I thought my partner changed the order and he thought I had, but really they didn't even look at our order.

The potatoes where amazing, I could eat them forever. The chicken was juicy and ok but not much flavor, we probably should have done grilled. Unfortunately I didn't want rice so I can't comment on that. And the sauce, was also very good. It was spicy and I'm not a spice fan, but I kept dipping my potatoes in it.

I'd go back for the potatoes and would try the salad, they also have fish items that look good on their Instagram.

I'd love for the staff to get some customer service training and reminder that having your back to your front counter is not welcoming for a first...

Juicy and flavorful, charcoal-grilled chicken is what I was hoping to find. Instead, what I got from the "Best Portuguese Chicken" was dry, rotisserie chicken with little flavor. The potatoes were also deep-fried (or boiled and deep-fried) as opposed to being grilled, and were Parisian potatoes rather than baby potatoes. The rice was disappointing as well. The half-chicken meal after tax comes up to about $14.75.

I wasn't aware that you offered grilled chicken (does this mean this is charcoal-grilled?). Also, it wasn't a "horrible" experience, I just wanted to give you feedback from a customer's point of view. I did expect a much better meal at $15. I wouldn't compare your price to Costco rotisserie, since they do sell those chicken at a loss. However, I still feel that I didn't get the value for my money. No...
