My husband and I visited Ragu for the first time last night and my goodness we are kicking ourselves to why we haven’t visited sooner! We had the Parma, Gigi with sausage and Tipsy Monk with Shrimp and some focaccia was thrown in because they were out of bread. All of it was incredible! The focaccia was the best I’ve ever had - chewy, flavourful and I love that they pre-sliced it for easy dipping into the leftover sauce! Usually I find that focaccia is dense but Ragu’s is light and airy - delicious!! The pasta was cooked perfectly as we prefer more on the al dente side. You can taste the freshness of the pasta and love that’s put into it. The sauces of all three were amazing! The Gigi had a wonderful light spicy flavour but not overbearing at all! The sausage was thick cut and homemade. The Gigi was my husband’s favourite! Parma was mine - creamy tomato sauce, mushrooms, tagliatelle, absolutely heavenly! The pecorino on the Tipsy added so much flavour and the fusilli was made to perfection. Now that’s just the food! The service was impeccable and these owners made us feel like family the moment we walked into the door. You can tell they love what they do and appreciate the people supporting their business by feeding them pasta and homemade dishes made with love! To say we can’t wait to go back is an understatement. We are already planning our next visit with the whole family to Ragu...
Read moreBro... Fresh pasta, fresh bread, open kitchen, quick service, everything made from scratch AND affordable prices? Say less. I've had Ragu bookmarked for some time now but because I live kind of far it's just been sitting in my list.. until today.
I ordered the limone & neptune dishes. I LOVED the Limone pasta!! It's the kind of pasta you keep thinking about weeks or months after you've had it, and the portion was MASSIVE. Gnocchi was kind of mid imo, the sauce was pretty watery despite being described to me as 'creamy', but it still had good flavor. The portion I felt wasn't as large as the limone but they do weigh it so maybe it's just more of a visual thing for me. I did like the chewiness of the gnocchi itself though. I'm not going to dock a star though because I usually don't gravitate towards tomato based sauces anyway.
By the way, shoutout to the employees who are on their feet in that hot kitchen prepping, cooking, and taking orders for hours. I only waited inside for 10min and I was borderline about to start sweating lol. The service here is super friendly, and bonus points for the cutest little handwritten notes on my takeout bags.
Overall delicious food, service, value, and atmosphere. It's even cooler getting to watch the pasta making process in front of you. Great local gem that I'd love to introduce some loved ones to...
Read moreRagu Scratch Pasta is seriously unreal. The food is incredible—so fresh, so flavorful, and just downright amazing. You can tell everything is made with so much care, and the pasta itself is just on another level. It’s incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, and each dish feels so thoughtfully put together. I honestly can't believe how good it is for the price. It feels like you're getting so much more than what you're paying for, and it's rare to find a place that does that these days.
The menu is beyond amazing, with a great variety of options that are sure to satisfy anyone. The pasta choices are unique, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into making each dish special. And what’s even better is how accommodating they are. They’re super friendly and genuinely want to make sure you have the best experience possible.
But what really takes it to the next level is the customer service. The people working there are so kind and respectful. You can tell they genuinely care about what they’re doing, and it really shows in everything—whether it's the food, the atmosphere, or just how they treat their customers. It’s rare to find a place that gets the food and the service so right.
This is honestly one of the best pasta spots I’ve ever been to, and I’ve tried a lot. The food, the people, the prices—it’s all just perfect. I can’t...
