Burger Drops not only lives up to its hype but surpasses it, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-notch burger in Toronto. The establishment presented a clean and unassuming exterior, decorated with simple red signage featuring a burger icon. Inside, it was spacious and well-organized, with clear delineated lines for ordering and several tables complemented by additional waiting areas. Ordering was slightly less intuitive than expected, but the friendly cashier was more than helpful, guiding me through the menu options efficiently. I opted for the American Cheeseburger with double patties, served as part of a combo. The burger was a masterpiece, neatly presented in a paper container with a handy wrapper for easy handling. The smash burger style patties were perfectly flattened and topped with American cheese, surrounded by complementary toppings that enhanced the meat's flavour. Each bite delivered a satisfying blend of tender buns, juicy meat, and a rich, flavourful Drop Sauce, encapsulating the essence of a superb smash burger. The sides, however, were less impressive. Both the crinkle cut and curly fries were crispy and well-seasoned, but I did not see how it enhanced the meal. A simpler shoestring style might have been a better in my opinion. The absence of onion rings due to a miscommunication only gave me another reason to return. The beverage options were standard: canned and bottled pops. It was slightly disappointing as fountain drinks might have added to the experience. A standout feature was the cleanliness, especially the washrooms. Accessible via stairs equipped with anti-slip mats, the gender-free washrooms were impeccably maintained, reflecting the establishment's commitment to cleanliness. This attention to detail extended to the staff, who diligently cleaned the dining area, reinforcing a sense of hygiene and care. Despite these many positives, a few drawbacks were notable. The restaurant's interior was quite chilly, possibly due to strong ventilation, which had me worrying about my food getting cold too quickly. Also, the messiness of the American burger with its lettuce mixed with fat and sauce proved challenging, nearly making the wrapper useless. The restaurant's high reputation also means that more seating is needed to accommodate the high volume of customers. In conclusion, despite some areas for improvement, Burger Drops sets a gold standard for double smash cheeseburgers in Toronto. Their dedication to service, cleanliness, and culinary excellence means that I will be returning for more of their delightful offerings. I wholeheartedly recommend their double patty combo to all burger enthusiasts.

burger drops delivers a fun and satisfying fast food experience, with their truffle sauce burger stealing the show. the burger is a perfect blend of flavors, with a juicy, well-cooked patty, fresh toppings, and a rich, flavorful truffle sauce that adds a gourmet touch. every bite feels indulgent yet balanced, showcasing the care put into its preparation. the gravy fries are a great companion to the burger--crispy, well-seasoned, and just the right amount of indulgent. the combination makes for a meal that's both comforting and elevated. the service at burger drops is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. the staff is attentive and approachable, making sure customers feel at ease even during busier moments. there was a small hiccup with ordering, as it wasn't clear that the truffle fries were an additional charge in the holiday combo, but it was quickly sorted out. cashier also said the cheese truffle fries are a bigger size, but it really wasn't that much bigger at all. seating is also limited, with only three tables available, so visiting during off-peak hours is recommended. the interior is clean and bright, there's a collage of customer and employee photos on the wall. price is comparable to five guys and shake shack, regular double burger is $12 + tax, while the holiday burger is $14 + tax. regular fries is $6, curly fries are $8, and holiday fries are $10. i wouldn't get the holiday fries again just based on the price and size. our meal was all in all around $55 total which honestly is a bit steep for fast food burger. the take out bag is high density paper. all dine in and take out seem to have similar paper packaging. burger drops excels in delivering fresh, flavorful food with great service. the truffle sauce burger is truly a standout and is well worth trying for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious and memorable burger experience. i would come back to try more!

Burger Drops is on King St W and Atlantic so it is easily accessible via TTC (streetcar) As soon as you enter the restaurant there is a cashier desk on the right with some seating on the right side. There is also a washroom in the basement. I went on a Friday around 6:00 PM and there was no available seats so I ate my meal outside. Ordering: There is a menu overhead to see the different burgers they have. After ordering, you are given a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready. Cost: I paid around $33 including tax for an Original style Double Cheese Burger ($12) with Cheese Fries ($8), Hot Sauce ($1), and Banana Foster Pudding ($8). Wait Time: about 15 minutes to get my food. The Food: I got an Original style Double Cheese Burger with Cheese Fries, Hot Sauce, and Banana Foster Pudding ($8). The burger itself was disappointing. The patty tasted overcooked, and the bread was soggy. I had started to eat the meal within 5 minutes of picking up my order so I have no idea how the bread got that soggy. The burger unfortunately reminded me of a Mcdonald's McDouble...The cheese fries on the other hand was great and had good crunch to them, the fries had just the right amount of salt and the pickles/relish on the side was a great addition. The banana foster pudding was way too sweet in my opinion. The brown butter cereal crumble on top of the pudding was great but the rest of the pudding was way too sweet to finish. I probably got around 40% of the way through the pudding and then had to put it down. The hot sauce was pretty basic too, just tasted like the standard franks red hot. Overall: The atmosphere of the restaurant is great but it is a small restaurant with limited seating. The cashier was friendly, and attentive. If I do end up coming back to the restaurant I hope to try the burger again but in the American style, instead of the Original style.

Regrettably, I'm unable to give this place 10 stars, but I must emphasize the unparalleled customer service provided by Burger Drops and their team!

Story time....

I placed a substantial order through Doordash for a work staff meeting, scheduling the delivery later in the day to ensure freshness. However, during a payment update, Doordash's app unexpectedly reverted the delivery time to ASAP, leading me to inadvertently confirm the order without realizing the mistake.

Immediately recognizing the error, I contacted Doordash to rectify the situation. Despite the order being placed less than a minute prior, Doordash refused to change the delivery time or contact Burger Drops for assistance. Fearing cold food for the meeting, I reached out to Burger Drops directly, and when I say the customer service I was given was over the top and exceptional, I am not exaggerating.

I had a delightful online conversation with Katherine, who assured me that they would contact Doordash to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, Doordash remained uncooperative. Katherine and her team took the extraordinary step of canceling the Doordash delivery and committed to preparing the order at my preferred time, handling the delivery themselves.

The food was promptly prepared, and Jay, the manager, maintained open communication, providing Uber tracking for the delivery. Everything arrived fresh, accurately reflecting our preferences, and was conveniently labeled for easy distribution.

The communication and customer service from Katherine and Jay surpassed any expectations. I am truly grateful for their efforts. If the owner Greg reads this review, please know that your staff are truly remarkable.

Two key takeaways from this experience:

If Burger Drops' reputation as the best burger joint in the city isn't incentive enough, this review and the exceptional customer service should convince you to try their delicious food.

I've decided never to use Doordash again due to their lackluster support, I rather my money go directly to the business who cares about their customers and not third party apps who refuse to provide any sort of customer...
