Today was my first time entering this new, small Burger King location in response to seeing a big promotional ad in their window that sounded good. Inside, there was a big sign indicating that you have to enter your own order on the Kiosk! Swear words entered my head right away because I really resent companies that try to cut back on hiring staff by forcing customers to self check out. Also, why should I do their work as a customer, not an employee of theirs? As a matter of principle, I generally try to avoid entering orders on kiosks or using self checkouts in any type of store or restaurant. Sometimes I'm stuck and have no other choice than to comply with their demands.
Today, there weren't any human beings behind the counter for me to talk to politely about this issue. Given Burger King's obvious desire to cut back on staff members to increase their profitability, perhaps a machine was flipping the burgers, too!
I relented and started to use the darned (polite word!) Kiosk but the order that I had wanted, as posted in the window, wasn't even listed on the Menu. Swear words in my head again so I cancelled the start of the order and left this Burger King. Permanently. Other Burger Kings are staffed sufficiently so you can place orders with the staff so why not here? I am so miffed (politely worded...) There were only three people dining there so perhaps other customers feel the same...
Read moreIt was my first time at this location, and I decided to try the Garlic Parmesan Whopper. The restaurant is nicer than most of the others I’ve been to, but I was very disappointed with my order. To start, they didn’t have caramelized onions available and didn’t bother to let me know. Instead, they threw some raw onion into my sandwich, which was pretty unpleasant. Besides that, there was little to no sauce inside the burger. Basically just the bun and patties. The staff was nice but severely understaffed. Only one person in the kitchen and one handling orders. Pretty disappointing for a...
Read moreI waited in an empty Burger King for 12 mins standing there looking for someone to take order and eye contact ! One Filipino employee ghosted for me and had no care to greet its customer that was waiting politely, and an Indian lady took the order instead thanks to her. After 2 minutes, a white lady came in then Filipino immediately took the order and greeted her. This just shows Filipino worker indirectly discriminates non white customer. Can’t believe this is an issue in 2025 especially in the place like Canada where it’s the most diverse country. Will not be going...
