Writing review right after leaving the place.
Time of visit: 6:40 PM. Date: 11 Dec, 2018.
Taking from employee to manager, everyone was rude.
When I write reviews, I write 50% for upper management and 50% for customers. My goal is to help them both make profit and have nice experience.
They advertised whopper burger as their free burger once you purchase something. And, unlike the one we used to visit at Waterloo, this one provided us with two three pieces of salad and bread without veggie patty.
Upon receiving the item, my friend realized it after taking a bite.
My friend went to counter and calmly raised issue to the person who served the order. That person not only denied what my friend told, but further started throwing excuses and treated my friend in ill manner.
He then called another person and told her some words along "can you handle this? (I can't write the tone unfortunately)". She repeated the same story. They both then called another person and the whole staff wouldn't do anything but argue.
We referred the earlier positive Burger King experiences we had in Waterloo and they argued.
This lasted for like 15 minutes passing the issue from one person to another. Com'on. The other customers would wait in line while this was happening.
After a while, the person chuckled, took my friend's bite bitten burger in kitchen, put a patty and came back in no time. Question is, why did they take this much of time? As a customer we felt, (may be) the staff having "ego issues". May be.
And, who does that? Fixing customer's half finished meal and start serving the next customers.
As a reference, we've had coffee drink issue at Tim Horton's. Upon raising it, they replaced it with "large" size even though the original order was "small".
That's called a good customer service. I know they both merged in 2014, but still they seem independent in terms of service, but well that's another story.
Anyway, I don't wanna be total douche, so the person who was cleaning the floor was extremely nice and apologized twice when I almost slipped because of wet floor.
But, everybody across the counter, they didn't exchange any apology words after this scene. We didn't want that anyway.
I guess it was our mistake to devote time to take your survey. But, never again, BK....
Read moreI had a frustrating and unacceptable experience at the Burger King location near Humber College, and I strongly advise others to steer clear unless you enjoy being treated with blatant disregard for advertised hours and basic customer service. Their official closing time is clearly listed as 11 PM, but when I arrived around 10:45 PM, the doors were already locked tight. To make matters worse, there were still several customers inside enjoying their meals, chatting away as if nothing was amiss. I knocked politely and gestured to the staff, pointing at my watch to indicate it wasn’t even closing time yet, but they just shook their heads and ignored me completely. Why on earth would they lock up early with people still dining inside? It doesn’t make any sense—perhaps they’re trying to cut corners on staff hours or rush home early, but that’s no excuse for turning away paying customers during operating hours. This isn’t just poor management; it’s deceptive and rude, forcing people like me (a student rushing from evening classes at Humber) to go hungry or settle for alternatives. The staff’s attitude was indifferent at best, showing zero empathy or willingness to accommodate. Burger King corporate should investigate this location because it’s tarnishing the brand’s reputation. Zero stars—I’ll be taking my business elsewhere...
Read moreThis particular Burger King location isn't too bad, but isn't anything great either! Notable mentions:
Drive-Thru: You most likely won't find yourself sitting in the drive thru for very long, however depending on what you order, they may ask you to "drive around" while your food is being prepared. May have to wait up to 5-7 minutes for your meal. A bit of an annoyance, but nothing major.
Employees: It's a hit and miss when it comes to the individuals that are preparing and serving your food. One day they are really nice, the next day they make it seem like you pulled up to their house unannounced. They need to be consistent. There's one female worker there who has time and time again shown negative attitude towards my fiance and I. I am sure we aren't the only ones. She probably knows who she is. When workers are acting rude towards you, you can't help but wonder what you will find in your paper bag.
Their meals are pretty good! Whoppers, their delicious Spicy Crispy sandwich is AMAZING. Fries are good, soft drinks good. They get a good rating in the food department.
All in all, they need to brush up on their mannerisms. You're not only paying for food, you're paying for an experience, and if you have a bad experience, don't be surprised if you get tainted...
