I decided to see whether the staff tonight would be understanding, turns out I got the same reply as always with no "real" reasoning or alternative solution.
I asked if my mozza-sticks order could be fried in the French fries oil rather than the meat fryer. Person on drive-thru said "people like their French fries", okay... so back up, people who like their French fries don't like batter, okay cool. So it's not a problem to take the catcher and collect the loose dough?
My issue here is this, you are telling me one thing but not providing a solution, only forcing me to go along with the meat fryer? So then, is my request not the same as someone who likes their French fries to be tasty and crisp? If I say I don't like the scent of meat in my meal, then what? It is the exact same preference I am requesting and asking for. The treatment should be no different. I thought BK's slogan was "have it your way".. I understand that does not mean go out of your way, but when you start catering veggie products then do you actually mean to tell me, that the veggie products/customers don't have the option to have a clean meal free of [cross-contamination]?
Your locations in Bowmanville, Midland and downtown Toronto have no issue with this, this location and ONLY this location seems to have a problem. Let me tell you what the other locations say to me when I ask them why it's okay to do so.. "because sir, we have vegetarian customers and we "respect" their choice and customer service in eating at Burger King. Oh...look at that!
Locations that "SERVE" their customers based on having respect...Spadina/College, Midland/Lawrence, Bowmanville (Clarington Rd/King St W) as well as Sheppard Ave/Whites Rd (Pickering), Eglinton/Vic-Park. Those are just a few places where when I find myself around them, they have no problem making the request. In fact, the Bowmanville location even asked me when ordering a veggie burger, "would you like us to cook it in the frying pan"? I looked at the girl and said.. "I'm sorry what?".. She told me it was company policy that BK is about cleanliness and fairness to all customers.
Although I've been to your location dozens of times in the past (but not in the past year as I've avoided you), I opted to see if there was a change in place but it seems that there is customer bias at this location and "have it your way" mean OUR way or NO way. I placed a complaint immediately on the BK site, I will follow up with a call to the 1-800 in understanding why my request is continuously rejected without a solution, simply telling me that people like their French fries but that my situation is no different, is not the solution. I am in the same boat, if that means using an alternative fryer that isn't being used by either the French fries or the meat product, how difficult would that be?
Customer satisfaction first or not wanting to do your job by having less to maintain in the last two hours of a shift? Don't wear your BK uniform if you don't stand behind...
Read moreI usually never write reviews but am compelled to write one today. I order through this BK everyday. Usually, the staff members are friendly and the process is quick. Thanks to one staff member, my review is giving away 1 star. One staff member in particular, by the name of "Mariyam" or "Mariya" almost regularly takes my order. Since she is a senior in the restaurant, she makes me wait at least 10-20 seconds on the drive thru every.single.time, purposely ignoring the fact that I am there. Followed by, a very rude tone and unfriendly exhibition of non-professional behaviour which goes against BK's values. Usually, I have been a fan of the place but thanks to this lady, she has consistently been rude and never maintained a smile along with extremely unpleasant conduct. Today, I requested her to give me a moment after I ordered as she asked me in a condescending manner to move my vehicle away from the drive-thru place (my order was going to take a few minutes), and she rudely told me that she can't serve me. Dissatisfied and unlike me, I requestfully asked her as to why she was being rude? To which she told me that she doesn't need to serve me, and shut the window!
I was shocked by such unprofessional conduct and stayed there to which she re-opened the window and told me in the unfriendliest way, "I've been around for a long time" followed by a disgruntled gesture asking me to leave as she shut the window again and walked away.
Throughout this time, I was quiet as this was not the first time she behaved rudely but today was just too much. I spend, almost everyday, $10+ at this place and deserve a better experience and service.
More importantly, once she messed up my order and tried to correct me when I requested her of the mistake in my order. I simply decided to walk away from the situation then. Then, again a similar thing happened once when she gave me a melted / unprepared ice cream which was touching her bare hands. I stayed quiet.
Just because someone has been working at the same location for a long time, does not give them permission to behave rudely and spoil someone's day. She never smiles back.
Over the phone, she has hung up. There really isn't anything she is doing to make her a good employee. If anyone is reading this, please make sure the employees are made aware of their behaviour and the impact it has on the company.
With great...
Read moreI ordered food through the BK app early this morning around 5:45, went to this BK location, and had the worst experience of my life at any food chain ever. This rude guy at the drive-thru asked me, “What would you like to get?” Before I could even tell him that I had a mobile order, he told me to leave and come back after 10 minutes. I said, “You just asked what I want to order, and now you’re asking me to leave without even listening?” He said, “Okay, what do you want?” I told him I had a mobile order, and he repeated, “Come back in 10 minutes.”
I asked him, “Can you let me know why?” He said, “It’s not ready yet.” I replied, “You didn’t even ask for my order number. How would you know if it’s ready or not?” He shouted at me loudly, saying, “I’m the one working here, not like you who’s just sitting in your car,” and then hung up. I moved forward as the car in front of me moved. When I got near the window, I saw this guy leaving with his bag, heading home, and saying goodbye to the morning staff. That could be the reason he yelled at me and misbehaved, his shift getting over.
After that, I met an amazing lady who came to take my order. She came back after 10 minutes but with the wrong order. I told her my order was different, and she took forever to get it corrected. I was so frustrated that I just left, parked somewhere, and when I checked my food, I found that the items were missing.
I hope you take strict action against this rude and mannerless employee so he won’t treat other customers the same way and so you don’t lose your...
