A close family member of mine was a professional baker and specialized in custom cakes for weddings and birthdays, so I grew up tasting a lot of different types of cakes and providing constructive impressions of her designs. I feel this equips me to honestly acclaim the creatively designed, beautifully decorated, and delectables tastes of Cake Me Home cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops. I love that the cakes and icing are not too sweet (remember those horribly grocery store cakes where you could still crunch the granulated sugar in the icing?? Yuck!). These are not like that at all...just melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness and would put a smile on your face and a tap-dance in your tummy :) We commission Cake Me Home to cater our family's annual celebrations, and have never been disappointed. It was fantastic news when Cake Me Home emailed me back stating they would be available to bake and decorate the birthday cake for my son's first birthday party.

The party theme was farm animals and a red barn. During the consultation process, it was easy to share with Renee aspects of the cake design via emailed pictures. The flavour of the cake was marble swirl with vanilla bean buttercream.

The family raved over the design and beautifully decorated cake. But the flavour was delicious and fresh. Cake Me Home cakes are massive and can feed an army!

For loot bags given to each family, Cake Me Home baked and decorated chocolate decadence cake pops in four farm animals: cow, sheep, pig and chick. They were delicious and packaged in the colour theme of the party. They looked too good to eat!

I ordered a cake for my seventh anniversary, which falls over the Easter Weekend. Everything was done online, which made me a bit nervous at first, but Renee allowed me to send images that had served as my inspiration for the cake design and with a few emails we agreed on what the cake would look like. Renee provides a TON of options for cake and buttercream flavour, which is awesome. When I picked up the cake, it was PERFECT! Absolutely beautiful. I had originally gone for something simple, working on a small budget, but without raising the price Renee had added extra details to the cake design that made it absolutely stunning and perfect and what I had originally wanted but which I hadn't been able to afford.
