Warning for people that want to pre-order their food on a holiday
SUCH A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! I ordered from here many times and loved it! Today, I ordered ahead of time at 2pm for a 7:30pm pick up. Get to the restaurant to pick up my order and they tell me that they never received my order... This was on Valentines Day where every restaurant is now in their dinner rush and we had to go look for a different restaurant.
The cashier was RUDE and DISMISSIVE of the whole situation, basically saying TOUGH LUCK and that we would have to wait minimum 1 hour to get our order EVEN THOUGH WE ORDERED AT 2PM! She showed NO SYMPATHY and DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE for their mistake. She did not offer prioritize my order as I made it WAY IN ADVANCE. She did not even offer any compensation to keep my loyalty - not a smart move to retain your loyal customers.
This whole experience led us to find another go-to sushi spot. This is an unorganized establishment with horrible customer service. Sorry, but you guys need to step up your game when it comes to busy holidays...
Read moreI went to Ho Sushi based on reviews and I happened to be close by. As most others have mentioned it's a small unassuming place in a condo complex. There is parking right in front.
It's quite small inside with very limited seating. I got my stuff to go. Also pickup orders are 10% off.
I ordered the Unadon (Bbq Eel on rice) $11. And Green Dragon roll (4 huge pieces) $6.
The Unadon was pretty good. Great value for the price. The rice was quite seasoned and had furikake on top. Good portion and flavour.
The Green Dragon roll was excellent. The shrimp tempura was wonderfully crunchy and avocado was generous and creamy. Plus they were huge. It was a full mouthful that's for sure. The only thing is they forgot my wasabi. !!! But I had some at home, so all was not lost. I'll just make sure that next time it's in my bag before I go.
Would I go back? Absolutely! The quality of their food, presentation, and value makes this place a winner! Wishing this new business...
Read moreEDIT: Is there new ownership? I've been getting the Deluxe Chirashi for over a year now at almost once a week. The quality has been meh for the past two weeks. Last week I didn't get uni, shrimp, braised mushroom, egg, squid, and instead we get avocado with lettuce instead?? Then this week I get uni instead of the salmon belly and still not the others I've mentioned ...but of course I get the lettuce. The rest of the fishes also seemed downgraded in quality too. Doesn't seem as fresh and I feel like I got more tendon. This was my favourite sushi joint in the area but not any more. I've downgraded my rating from five stars. Love the Deluxe Chirashi. Sure it's almost doubled the price of others but you get so much variety--giant shrimp, uni, REAL roe, giant chunk of salmon belly...
