Dining at Campaniae by Delysees is not just a meal—it’s a sensory experience that feels both nostalgic and elevated. From the very first moment, the warmth of the space and the attentiveness of the staff set the tone for an evening that unfolded with intention, care, and a deep connection to heritage. Every dish told a story, and every bite felt like a quiet celebration of tradition and refinement.
The menu, inspired by owner Fred’s mother’s home-cooked French and Moroccan dishes, delivers a unique blend of comfort and sophistication. You can feel the heart behind each plate—this is food that’s rooted in family, but presented with elegance.
To begin, the Moroccan Beef Cigars were crisp and perfectly spiced, delivering a satisfying crunch that gave way to a deeply flavourful filling. They were the kind of appetizer that makes you pause after the first bite. The Cheese Triangles followed, and they were absolutely indulgent—warm, melty, and golden on the outside, with just the right balance of richness and savoury satisfaction. The Grainy Mustard Chicken Skewers were another standout—tender, juicy, and lightly glazed with a mustard marinade that added just enough tang without overpowering the delicate seasoning.
The Chicken Green Salad was one of those dishes that quietly shines. Fresh, bright, and full of texture, it served as a refreshing contrast to the richness of the appetizers. The Roasted Moroccan Sea Bass was a true highlight—perfectly cooked, flaking apart gently with a fork, and infused with fresh, citrusy flavours that made it unforgettable. It's one of those dishes that lingers in your memory long after the meal ends. The Lamb Rack also stood out—succulent, beautifully seasoned, and seared to perfection. Each bite was deeply satisfying and clearly made with precision and care.
One dish I personally found a bit overwhelming was the Chicken Padilla. The spices were a touch too powerful for my palate, and the presentation made it a little messy to eat. That said, it was still thoughtfully prepared, and I can see it being a hit for those who enjoy bolder flavours.
And then came dessert. The Duo Chocolate Cake was pure bliss. Rich but not overly sweet, with a smooth texture and balanced flavour that made it nearly impossible not to finish every last bite. It was the kind of dessert that feels both indulgent and elegant—something you'd happily come back for on its own.
The interior design of Campaniae also deserves special mention. Fred’s beautiful wife did a stunning job creating a space that’s both modern and inviting, reflecting the warmth and care of the dining experience. The ambience strikes a perfect balance—elevated yet relaxed, with just the right amount of intimacy. It’s a space that enhances the overall experience and makes you feel right at home. In fact, with the RH Courtyard restaurant in the background, you can’t help but feel transported to Europe. The atmosphere is serene and sophisticated, offering a charming escape from the everyday especially with the added jazz live music.
Beyond the food and the design, what truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. Fred, his wife, and their entire team made the evening feel personal, like being welcomed into someone’s home. Every interaction was warm, genuine, and thoughtful. The service was seamless and attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and you could tell the team was passionate about what they do.
The experience felt like discovering something rare—where every detail, from the menu to the plating to the service, is designed with intention and heart.
This was a beautiful culinary experience from start to finish. It’s clear that Campaniae isn’t just about great food—it’s about storytelling, culture, family, and creating lasting memories. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Read moreAlright let’s break it down. We came into this restaurant feeling good, as we weren’t too hungry, but could eat, and already loving delysées, we decided to pay a visit to the restaurant. Throughout the entire meal, the service was done greatly with our server being attentive, caring, and problem solving, dealing with some issues with it being a new restaurant. When we ordered, we decided to get the companies sharing platter, thinking that there were going to be four decently sized dishes. However, when the food first arrived, we were a bit confused as only two small plates, one with four pastries, and the other with 2 dips and toast points came on, but we thought that maybe the rest would come later. As we are the food, we discovered that it tasted amazing and was flavourful and nicely executed in all the right components. However, as we ate, we found out that no more food was coming towards us. We decided to ask our waiter for details, which then he revealed that all our food had came on. Like, seriously? We spent 36 dollars for 4 pastries the size of a shot glass and a small bowls worth of hummus for $36 before tax or tip? In my opinion, for the amount of food that we got, it was absolutely outrageous to pay over $40 for what we got. I geniuinely think that portion sizes need to double for the sharing platter. So even though the food was great, we most likely will not be visiting again as this experience with pricing and portion left a bad taste...
Read moreOur group of three dined here on Thursday evening and from 7:30 to close, we were the only patrons there. This should've been the first red flag for what was to come. The food was overpriced for the quality. A platter of hummus, tomato puree, 2 cheese bites and 2 spiced beef spring rolls went for $36. We ordered the Chilean sea bass ($28) and were shocked that it was only about 0.5 cm thick (dry and overcooked). The burrata was served on a sub-style bun and despite best intentions, the dishes presented as glorified cafeteria food. Service was overbearing- our waiter interrupted conversation unnecessarily and too frequently, though I'm sure he had good intentions to provide good service, it was quite irritating. We also noted that glasses of wine are a 4 oz. pour (vs. standard 5 oz.) for the same premium price and for wine bar, the wine list was quite limited. Highly recommend that you spend your money elsewhere as our dining experience left much...
