Title: A Fun-Filled Canadian Tradition: CNE Fare!

Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Fare is an absolute must-visit event for anyone looking for a taste of Canadian culture and excitement! Held annually in Toronto, Ontario, this extravaganza offers something for everyone, from thrilling rides to mouthwatering food and captivating entertainment.

The variety of food options at the CNE Fare is simply astounding! From classic Canadian dishes like poutine and butter tarts to international delights, there's no shortage of culinary adventures to embark on. Make sure to come hungry and leave satisfied!

In addition to the delicious fare, the CNE boasts a fantastic array of attractions and activities. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie seeking out exhilarating rides or a fan of live music and performances, there's no shortage of entertainment options to keep you engaged throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the CNE Fare is its vibrant atmosphere, filled with the laughter and excitement of visitors from all walks of life. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow Canadians and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Don't forget to explore the various exhibits and showcases highlighting Canadian art, culture, and innovation. From agricultural displays to art exhibitions, there's always something new and interesting to discover at the CNE Fare.

Overall, I highly recommend attending the CNE Fare to anyone looking for a fun-filled day out in Canada. With its wide range of attractions, delicious food options, and lively atmosphere, it's an experience you won't soon forget!

The food building at the Canadian national exhibition is an amazing place to grab a bite. However there are a few things that you need to know before going there. It can be quite crowded during peak times at lunch and in the evenings so it would be best to eat there only off hours. Even so, finding a table can be quite difficult. I would suggest that you have her around table area is just as if you were trying to find a parking spot and immediately jumping in when someone is about to leave. If you are travelling in a group I would also suggest finding a table 1st and then sending people out for food one at a time so that you can reserve a table. If not, you are most likely find yourselves wandering in a group with food in your hands not able to find any place to eat. Also, eating in the food building can be quite hot because of the amount of people there and it can be quite stuffy. If you do not like the heat, I would suggest buying your food and eating it outside under the trees. There are some tables outside that they are much cooler. There are a lot of washrooms in the food building so no worries.

Also, in the food building there is not a lot of natural sunlight. The interior is illuminated by a lot of fluorescent light, so if you are looking to take foodie photos, it is probably not the best area. I was suggest that you take your food outdoors to get better shots.

Another tip is this: a lot of people go to the food building as their First choice for food. However, know that there are a lot of other places to eat at the Canadian national exhibition. In 2019, you might find it better to eat at the food truck area near the inner care center. It is outdoor eating area and I find that there is a much better selection of food.

Finally, one last tip is that some of the Popular places inside the food building can also be found outside. For instance, tiny tom donuts can also be found outside of the food building as well so there is no need to line up in the food building. If you are also looking for corn dogs or ice cream waffles or Funnel cake, I would suggest that you buy those out in...

It's that time again!

This year has many repeats and new varieties of foods. There are the normal "safe" canadian staples such as corn dogs, poutines, and sandwiches. And then there are the really unique ones that you can't get anywhere else.

A quick rating of some unique foods there this year:

The Porkie from Pull'd: Semi-Instagram worthy was much smaller than the picture. There is too much flavor. 70% meat, 10% apple fritter, and 20% sauce. Taste - 3/10. $20~

Unicorn Corn by Corn on the Cob: Instagram worthy. Coated in lots of colorful cheese. Taste - 2/10 unless you love parmesan. $15.

Ramen Cheeseburger from SUPA Fries: Looks like nothing advertised. The ramen "bun" is soggy, and you can barely make out the noodles. This is basically a burger with ramen chewy spongy buns with a generous patty with sauce and cabbage drenched in cheddar cheese. Taste - 9/10. $20~

Karaage Soft Shell Crab by Farm to Fryer: Instagram worthy. Soft shelled deep fried grab on a stick with Sriracha sauce and a slice of lemon. Taste - 8/10. $20~

Apple Cheesecake Pounte by Apple Fries - Instagram worthy. Looks like a poutine but is instead coated with syrup and cheesecake bits. Taste - 10/10. $12~

There are also mochi donuts, bubble teas, and tons of other repeats such as deep fried mars bars for your sweet tooth. If you do, however, want free sweets, then I suggest you head to the CNE gaming building towards the very far end where the Nerds Game Room is for their new amazing free samples of Nerd Gummies.

Lastly, if all this is too much, then you can play it safe like Trudeau and just get a Corn dog from the numerous food stalls outside. Politics aside, you definitely can't go wrong...

It’s been about 5–7 years since I last came to the CNE, and this year completely reminded me why it’s such a special Toronto tradition. The energy was electric from the moment I walked in. I got to experience Dinner in the Sky with Danny, the owner and his staff, who went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. He was so kind and accommodating, and he gave Longtendo and me an amazing experience that felt once-in-a-lifetime. Our chef was the best photographer, conversationalist and obviously chef haha Beyond that, the CNE is just packed with things to do. I met so many awesome people, played carnival games (and even won), shopped through unique vendors, and picked up some very cool merch you can’t really find anywhere else. The food building was a blast, there’s so much variety, from comfort favorites to wild eats you’ll only see here. Weekends are extremely crowded, expect long line ups. What stood out most was the atmosphere: it’s not just an event, it’s a celebration of culture, fun, and community. Whether you’re there for rides, games, food, shopping, or just soaking in the energy, there’s something for everyone. If you haven’t been in a while, don’t wait as long as I did. The CNE is absolutely worth it. It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and new surprises, and every visit feels like creating memories you’ll talk about for years. 🎡✨

I worked here during the 2025 CNE at Yogen Früz, and I had the chance to try out a few vendors. First of all, the overall atmosphere inside the building is quite decent, there’s lots of seating space (although it gets full easily during peak hours) and tons of washrooms. The area can get quite jammed during rush hour and some stores don’t have proper line management so people sometimes have to cut through a line to get from one side to another. Other than that, the space is maintained well and has consistent air flow from the gigantic garage doors that are kept open unless it’s pouring rain. I would recommend the food building to anyone looking for a meal or a snack while at the CNE. Just keep in mind that prices are quite absurd, but that’s to be expected at any fair.

The opening day of the 2022 CNE re-opening, the Food building is the paradise for the Foodies. Good balance of heavenly healthy and junk food galore, nice sampling of various traditional and the not-so-traditional cuisines. Lots of tempting choices for your taste buds with innovative combination of tastes. Very crowded and difficult to find a spot to sit down with the food. Venue is clean and well maintained with many waste containers and lots of cleaning staff. $1.99 spaghetti is a big hit.
