After a morning filled with relentless walking, our venture led us to a delightful discovery. This burger stands as a testament to the beauty of balance. It’s not about a single topping stealing the spotlight; it's about each ingredient playing its part to create a symphony of flavors. The burger, seemingly unassuming with its classic build, houses a surprise within. The emmental cheese, grilled alongside the patty, adds a subtle yet distinct texture that complements the tenderness of the meat. It's a pairing that speaks volumes of the thoughtfulness behind the recipe. The shredded lettuce and pickled onions, strategically placed to enhance both flavor and crunch, serve as the perfect counterparts to the cheese and patty duo. This layering ensures that every bite is as satisfying as the last, with a hint of acidity and freshness cutting through the richness. Interestingly, the sauce's subtlety is what elevates this burger from good to great. It whispers rather than shouts, allowing the core ingredients to shine, proving that sometimes, less truly is more. While the patty might not boast an overwhelming smokiness or meatiness, it doesn't have to. The allure of the Aloette Burger lies in its subtleness, offering a break that's as refreshing as it is filling. However, not all that glitters is gold. The crinkle-cut fries, although a classic sidekick to any burger meal, left something to be desired. A dipping sauce could potentially have been their saving grace, adding that extra oomph to elevate them from just fine to fabulous. Yet, even without it, they manage to stand their ground. A word to the wise - prepare your visit knowing that this venue does not offer washroom facilities. It's a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things but worth noting for those planning a little lengthy stay or visiting with little ones.

Great food when its great, but consistency is key. I ate here alot when they opened Summer 2021. It was great to hear a new burger place was coming to Liberty Village, and their burgers are great. The fried chicken sandwich, when its served properly (ala my first taste) is kilometers above the one from Popeyes or Chick-Fil-A. In size, the girth and quality of the chicken is top notch. Their lemon meringue pie as well- delicious. The problems came though when I raved about this place to my friends visiting from out of town. We ordered both the beef and chicken burgers. The beef burgers are supposed to come with a cheese crisp, however this time the cheese crisp was well over burnt, it was black in some areas. The fried chicken sandwich as well - our pieces were composed of a majority of batter, and some fat was on the chicken breast as opposed to our first try which was all pure meat. Because of this, the ranking is 4/5 due to a lack of consistency.

Not the same aloette I remember when they operated solely out of spadina Aloette fries: I wish I saved the few dollars and just stuck to regular fries as I didn’t find the combination of the relish and cheese sauce (which also left a weird grainy mouth feel in my mouth) to work together…let alone the fries didn’t look burnt but it has a weird bitterness and they tasted dry rather than being nice and fluffy (I guess they’re not pre blanched) Aloette burger 2.0: I think it safes to say it’s better to stick to the original as the sauces and relish really ruined the main flavor of the beef and maybe it’s a off night for one of the cooks but it was disappointing to find pieces of bacon that were no where near rendered out or crisp All in, after experiencing aloette at spadina, this new location is kind of disappointing as the execution of the dishes seem sloppy as I even look at the lemon meringue pie that’s collapsing

Ordered takeout on a Tuesday afternoon. The food is a hit or miss, all the food were warm rather than hot even when I waited just outside to pickup my order and ate it right away.

Aloette Burger (3.5/5) - the quality of the raw ingredients were of good quality, both the beef patty and cheese were delicious, the bun was on the dry side. While the key ingredients were of good quality, the overall taste of the burger as a whole was not impressive, the taste of the ingredients did not compliment each other.

Fried Chicken & Lettuce Wrap (2.5/5) - the chicken meat itself is average quality meat, the seasoning was next to none on the chicken. The batter was crunchy but it’s a dry, floury crunch not a crispy, airy one. The batter was below average for me. Both honey yuzu and hot sauce were good. The lettuce was fresh, pickled veggies was not really pickled, just brined in salt water.

Fries (1/5) - The fries were bad, dry and hard. The 1 point was for the aioli that came with the fries. We had 2 fries in total and throw out the rest, it was not good fries.

Overall, the burger was still ok and will try again if I didn’t have any other choice and was conveniently by the area. Will not make a trip purposely over...

UPDATE

I have changed my rating to 5 stars. I was given an opportunity to try it out again and the food was great. I never order any lettuce based salad but decided to give the Wedge salad a shot as well. It was one the best salads Ive ever had. Along with that chocolate cake(which I raved about initially).

The food was great and the service at the restaurant was really good. Im glad that it was likely a one time issue :) Will definitely be back!

Had the NYE truffle menu. The burger had awesome ingredients but burger was cold(burger patty became dense)...as if it was sitting there for a while. It was based on a time interval for pickup so I would expect it to be "cooked to order" but I think I was just given someone else's order who had a much earlier slot.

Fries were okay but the aioli was solid. The mac and cheese was a little too much for the meal, wished it came with a proper appetizer but I get kitchen limitations with this location

The hero of this meal was the chocolate cake. Its what you wish McCain's "deep n delicious" would be. Its one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had in my life. 5 stars for that, and 3 overall. I think I should've went for the fried chicken option at their...
