My wife and I have been frequent visitors of Hotel X Toronto, enjoying its exceptional dining at Roses Social, luxurious spa treatments, and outstanding amenities over the years. However, this particular stay was nothing short of extraordinary.
We were celebrating a significant milestone in our relationship, and while we only mentioned this upon arrival, the team went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration was truly special. From the moment we checked in, the level of personalization and attention to detail left us deeply impressed. It’s clear that Fariyal Hasham, the Managing Director, leads with passion and an unwavering commitment to luxury and client-centered service. Her professionalism, competency, and dedication were apparent not only in our interactions with her but also through the seamless and exceptional service provided by her team. Fariyal’s ability to foster such a cohesive and service-oriented staff is truly remarkable, and it’s evident that her leadership sets the tone for excellence at Hotel X.
Upon check-in, we were greeted warmly by Mauricio, who provided a genuinely heartfelt welcome. His attentiveness and professionalism made us feel at ease immediately. Ben, the hotel porter (bellhop), went above and beyond as he assisted us to our room. His kindness and enthusiasm were truly remarkable. Not only did he ensure that we were comfortably settled in, but he also provided helpful tips, brought us water, went beyond and offered thoughtful gestures that elevated our experience. Ben’s genuine approach and his dedication to ensuring our comfort and happiness were deeply appreciated, and his positive energy left a lasting impression on us.
The personal touches extended to our room, where we found a beautifully written letter from Fariyal Hasham thanking us for staying at Hotel X and inviting us to reach out if we needed anything. This sentiment did not go unnoticed and added to the feeling that every detail of our stay was carefully thought out.
We also had the pleasure of dining at Roses Social, which has always been one of our favorite spots at Hotel X. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and their warmth added a special touch to our meals and made us feel truly valued as guests.
During our two-night stay, we explored the hotel's unique amenities, including the cinema and screening rooms. Steven, the Lead Concierge, escorted us to the screening room, where his passion for creating an exceptional guest experience was undeniable. He treated us with respect and care, ensuring everything was perfect for our movie experience. His colleague, Daniel, continued this high standard of service with a personable and welcoming approach. Together, they ensured we were hydrated and offered complimentary popcorn, turning our movie time into a luxurious and memorable experience.
The Guerlain Spa at Hotel X is a sanctuary of joy and relaxation. From the moment we arrived, the team, including Jordana, Priya, and Ife, greeted us with smiles and positive energy, making us feel pampered and appreciated. Our couples’ massage was the highlight of our spa experience. My RMT therapist, Shana, delivered a phenomenal deep tissue massage, continuing her streak of excellence from a previous visit. My wife was equally impressed with her RMT Victor, whose expertise ensured her relaxation and satisfaction.
The staff at Hotel X—from Fariyal's outstanding leadership to the front-line excellence of Mauricio and Ben—shared a consistent commitment to luxury, kindness, and making us feel celebrated. Every interaction we had was uplifting and reflective of a team that genuinely cares about creating memorable guest experiences.
If you are looking for a hotel that combines elegance and personalized service, Hotel X Toronto is the place to go. We left feeling rejuvenated, appreciated, and excited for our next visit. Thank you to the incredible staff and leadership for making our milestone celebration unforgettable.
We highly recommend Hotel X Toronto to anyone seeking luxury and a truly...
Read moreBooked on Expedia. We booked this hotel due to the proximity of Budweiser Stage for Russ’s Concert.
Our check-in time was for 4:00 p.m, me and the people I travelled with arrived quite a bit earlier than we thought. The common area was very busy, but we were still met with an earlier check-in of 3:00 p.m.
The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was very good for the heat we had that day, the bathroom and shower were nice and spacious, and the view on the 26th floor accompanied by two cozy chairs and a small table were also a nice touch.
It is a rather prestigious hotel to stay at, so the price of $800.00 was to be expected, I will add that it was split between four people, and was very convenient for location purposes.
However, the reason I am leaving 3 stars is for the fifth guest we had on the ceiling after being told “the room is going through it’s final inspection process”. It took us about two minutes to notice after one of the staff members left.
Staying at a 5 Star Luxury Hotel, we all expected a room free of any odours, stains, pests and so on. They had met our expectation with everything, especially having a staff member offer us bottles of water in the common area, and another carrying our luggage up to the room for us, both very nice accommodations.
As for the bug, we just killed it ourselves, it wasn’t a huge deal and didn’t want to contact staff at the time because we had already waited some time for a room, and didn’t want to have to wait for another one over a small bug. I thought to mention it anyway, because it was still cause for a very small concern.
Another thing to note, when or if you stay here, make sure to keep the small things in your memory, like parking and security deposit payments. When I first went to check-in, a young gentleman helped me begin the process, I paid the security deposit for the room, and was told to check back between 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
We eventually made our way back after gallivanting around, and were told our room was ready. Although, I was asked to pay the security deposit again, all I had to show was proof of payment, but I had expected it to already be on file under my name.
Similar thing with parking, I had paid $40.00 for parking when I checked in, and upon checking out, I was asked to pay the parking fee again. Approximately three hours after we had all left to return home, I was met with a call from Hotel X, telling me I forgot to collect my security deposit. I wasn’t aware that I would’ve had to physically collect it with the use of my card, as every other hotel I’ve stayed at automatically reimbursed me after a few business days.
The hotel staff were not unpleasant about it at all, and no real issue was presented. Regarding the security deposit, I was contacted and reimbursed through a simple proof of payment and a blank void cheque via email, and took less than 24 hours to resolve and see the $300.00 deposited back into my account, thanks to Tara.
If I could give a 3.5 star rating, I would. I’d have rather given it a 4-5 star rating, but there were quite a few hiccups in our stay. Nothing that would really shy me away from this hotel in the future, but there are a few things I will keep in mind, questions about the room and services I will ask prior to entering my room if...
Read more!! NOT worth the high price!!
The good:
all employees we encountered were extremely nice, above and beyond -we really needed to access our room before the 3pm check-in, and we were allowed to have the room early, which was HUGE for us and we are so grateful! Gorgeous view of the CN Tower and the water. -the room blinds are easily the best system I've ever had in a hotel! I've never seen a system like that and the black out curtain was very appreciated, along with the ease of use -the orchids everywhere are just stunning! The atmosphere of the main entrance is very impressive, feels luxury for sure -the service at the Roses was very nice, really liked our waitress -one of the reasons why we booked the hotel was the location being so close to the Budweiser stage, and we were very happy that it was truly a 7 minute walk as expected. Very convenient!
The bad:
-the carpet in our room was so loose ridges were popping up and I actually tripped! It made the room feel really cheap and I hated having to watch where I was walking the whole stay. -there was concern our beds weren't actually cleaned prior to our stay. Our beds only had a bottom sheet, no top sheet, and I found a short hair from someone else's head on my bed sheet when I pulled the duvet back. It was hard to sleep not knowing if, because we got our room early, maybe it wasn't cleaned. -the bed itself was so extremely hard, like sleeping on pavement. I've been in many cheaper hotels/motels and I was shocked at how bad the mattress was at your hotel! There was a mattress pad put on top, but it was so worn down that you could see the imprints of former guests in it. At a cost of over $650 / night, it was a real shame that the literal reason for our stay, sleeping, was disrupted by lack of quality. -this hotel is very noisy from the traffic outside, to people walking in the hallways, to sirens from emergency vehicles. I've stayed at other hotels where they used soundproofing and didn't have this issue. If you are a light sleeper, you will be woken up all night. -the bathroom has no fan and the sliding glass bathroom door doesn't stay closed, there's no privacy at all for those sharing a room, which you would expect when there are 2 beds in it. -the shower tub does not drain fast. I tried to mess with the plug but it wouldn't stay up and open, so I showered with water up to my ankles. -the shampoo, conditioner, hand soaps were so surprisingly bad. All left gross residues, especially the bar soaps, to the point where I had to use hand sanitizer after washing my hands to get the scum off. Again, after staying in cheaper hotels with better products, this was a huge shock. Especially with airplanes forcing us to decant liquids, we were shocked our fancy hotel didn't invest in better products for their guests.
Ultimately, we will only return to Hotel X if there's another concert at Budweiser stage, as the location to that venue is unmatched. Otherwise, we'd gladly pay half the price to stay at a 3 star hotel with the same level, or better, amenities. Also be warned this hotel makes you pay up front for your stay in full, AND asks for a $250 deposit on top of that! Be prepared to have almost $1000 available to...
