Saturday, May 27, 2023 I've dined in twice, but today had delivery through SKIP THE DISHES. Ordered mixed sauce pasta with chicken added (asked for a bit spicy). All I can say is Wowza! In fact, I'll say it again - WOWZA! Delivery just as good as dine in! Still 5 ⭐️s!!!
Wednesday, October 19, 2022 2nd time for me here this evening, this time with a friend. Again I was not disappointed.
We tried the penne pasta with carmelized butter cream sauce (with chicken added), the chilli chicken and the chilli chicken momos. Everything was perfect and plentiful. There will be a 3rd visit. 5 ⭐️'s once more!
Monday, May 2, 2022 I stumbled upon this restaurant completely by accident. I was on my way home from an eye appointment and saw it from across the street. I had to cross the street just to make sure I was reading the name correctly. I was!
I looked in the window. It was late in the afternoon. I saw the walls vividly painted in various murals, picnic tables for seating and menus on those tables. I was curious enough to go in and have a look at one.
Wow! There were so many things on the menu that I had never seen in any Indian restaurant I had been to before, from Mo-Mo's to different types of burgers to pasta dishes. And almost immediately, someone came to my rescue.
The smiling face of Rishi approached and he guided me through by answering all of my questions. I settled on chili chicken Mo-Mo's and chicken fried rice.
As I waited for my food, I sat and absorbed the casual atmosphere. The aroma of something delicious was wafting from the kitchen. Suddenly, Munira appeared with my Mo-Mo's. She was most welcoming.
Well...why did I wait so long in my life to try Mo-Mo's??? So crispy on the outside and so stuffed on the inside, they were spicy little pillows from Heaven right there on a plate in front of me. My rice arrived but it would have to wait!
The rice was also incredible - full of corn, peas, onion, carrots, and chicken pieces, of course. Both dishes were spiced to perfection.
I will have to make many more visits here to taste the other things on their extensive menu.
Friendly, relaxed ambience, unbeatable service and out-of-this-world...
Read moreCalling this place pathetic is an understatement. It was a terrible experience.
Last Sunday evening, we were trying to decide where do we go on dinner when I stumbled upon this restaurant on Google Maps. It had a rating of 4.9 out of 5 and so we immediately decided to go there. The ambience was good, and the place was slippery. We placed our order: Pav Bhaji Chicken Fried Rice Cheese Garlic Bread Peach Mojito
Peach Mojito was the first item to be served [after 20 mins] and it was spicy. I was trying a spicy peach mojito for the first time, and it was not a good experience.
Then we got Chicken Fried Rice [after about 30 mins]. Chicken Fried Rice was good. We liked it.
I was observing that people who came after us were being served, had their dinner, and had left and we were still waiting for our order. After about 45-50 mins when nothing else was served, I asked the attendant about our order. He said that he would check and come back. He came back and said that the chefs had FORGOTTEN TO PREPARE our order and that he had reminded them.
Then AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR we got Cheese Garlic Bread. It was clearly visible that it was prepared hurriedly. All of them were burnt from one side.
After some time, I again enquired about Pav Bhaji. The attendant said that since this item takes a lot of time to prepare, then CHEFS CHOSE TO PRIORITIZE ORDERS OF OTHER CUSTOMERS which took less time. Ultimately, I told him to pack it out.
As a compensation, the attendant said that the entire order is free, and I don’t have to pay anything. I told him that I would want to pay for the order since I was not there for free food, and I am not a freeloader.
Ultimately, one of the chefs intervened and repeated the same thing. Ultimately, when I did not budge, he requested me repeatedly to not pay for the Cheese Garlic Bread since it was burnt. I, ultimately, obliged since I wanted to get out of that pathetic place.
The only good thing out of the entire experience was that the attendant and the chef were, at least, apologetic about it.
Go to this place only if you want to order Chinese food as that seems to take less time and your item won’t be on the chefs’...
Read moreI went to this place on a Saturday… like any good restaurants would on a weekend it was pretty busy so my friend and I waited 25 mins to get a table. I was so excited to try the food they had to offer by reading the comments. Once seated we ordered Tandoori momos, chicken chowmein and pani puri. The pani puri was really refreshing. The Tandoori momos were divine specially with their dipping sauces. These def has to be one of the best momos I had in Canada. Absolutely loved it. Our dinner somehow didn’t go as planned as we never got the Chicken chowmein. We waited for more than 35 mins in the meantime we went and checked up on them twice ourself and once we asked the server and they kept telling us that they’ll let us know what’s up with our order. The sad part after going to their counter for the third time we had to cancel our order cz the people that came after us ordered a chowmein they already finished their food and they already made their way to pay the bill before us. I’m not sure who I talked to as I complained by the payment counter. They wouldn’t really tell us what happened with our order. Then they told us that the paper on which they put orders fell which is a really big error. I understand how busy a place would get your customer doesn’t have to come remind you for their food thrice. While paying one of the staff said we’ll give you the order for free if that’s what you want. That’s beside the point I wasn’t looking for free food I just wanted to eat the food I ordered. So they should be paying attention to the customers sitting in front of them. They had enough delivery orders leaving their restaurant which looked like became a priority. The person I was dealing with gave me a 20% off on my bill. I was really sad leaving because of this experience because the food was just so good. I really hope they learn from their lessons. I would really want to come back and give them...
