Worst experience of my life. I’ve never been treated so rudely in a restaurant in my life. The young girl taking orders was so rude! She completely got my order wrong and I caught the error when I noticed I was undercharged for what I asked for. I asked for Beef Barria tacos and she thought I asked for the mixed Barria. When I pointed out the error instead of apologizing and fixing it, she tried to convince me to have the wrong order she had already entered. I told her I did not want to mixed and I would like the beef. She then rolled her eyes at me, and started trying to fix her mistake. When I got the receipt back I realized that she had charged me for the original order, the right order (the beef Barria’s tacos) and only refunded me $4. I then pointed this out to which she again rolled her eyes at me and told me she didn’t understand why I was getting mad as the receipt was right. There was a long line behind me, so I told her the receipt was not right and that I think she should deal with the line of customers and we would talk after. While we waited for the line to die down, my husband checked our credit card statement which confirmed that I was correct regarding the error made by the rude staff. When the line died down, my husband went with me to the counter and showed her our credit statement which proved the error. She still tried to argue with us and said it was wrong. She kept rolling her eyes and saying to my husband this is your wife’s fault she wasn’t clear about what she ordered, I don’t know why she’s so mad etc etc. I finally had enough and told her I was mad because of her bad attitude. She then stormed off and got what I was assuming to be the owner at this point. The owner started arguing with my husband while the original girl was yelling in Mexican to the owner. The owner told my husband she saw everything that happened on their security camera and we were being rude to the cashier etc etc. She said “I guess today just isn’t your day” she accused us of starting an argument in front of children. My husband got fed up and said he didn’t want the food and just wanted our money back. At this point the original cashier had left and my husband was given a chance to explain to the owner exactly what happened and showed her the credit statement. She saw the error refunded the money and said we could have the order for free while rolling her eyes (I’m guessing the two are related because the got the eye rolling thing down pat!). We took the food and got our money back; however we didn’t eat it as we were terrified they did something to it with the way we had been treated even after the owner realized the error. I don’t know how this place has 5 stars. Others will see the terrible service in due time the second they dispute an...
Read moreMy quest to find a worthy replacement for the dearly departed Taco El Chappo, a casualty of the COVID-19 era, led me to El Sazón de la Tía Flor. My son and I ventured to this small but promising taco haven to satisfy our craving for some authentic, mouthwatering tacos.
Located at the end of a modest plaza, this unassuming gem packs a punch. It offers cozy seating for small groups, and the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The staff, ever so helpful, guided us through their menu, which was a comforting sight for this taco enthusiast.
We decided to go all in and ordered a Taco Chorizo, a Taco Pastor, an Orden of Tacos Birria Beef Quesadillas, and the Flautas Pierna. What can I say? These tacos were nothing short of extraordinary. The flavors danced on our taste buds. And the sauces, oh, the sauces! We were offered a selection of hot, medium, and mild, allowing us to customize our spice level.
But the excitement doesn't end there. El Sazón de la Tía Flor has a fantastic deal with $1 Taco Tuesdays and Wednesdays, making it an irresistible destination for any taco lover on a budget.
In conclusion, El Sazón de la Tía Flor has not only filled the void left by Taco El Chappo but has also exceeded our wildest taco dreams. This small but mighty taco shop delivers on flavor, quality, and affordability. If you're in search of some of the finest tacos in town, look no further – El Sazón de la Tía Flor has got you covered. I'll definitely be returning, especially on those incredible...
Read moreI am totally reviewing this based on the $1 tacos you can get o Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
First, taco specials on two day. How aewsome is that. Typically, it's only one day but they do it back to back days.
Second, you can get any combination of meat you want. Again, typically, you have to choose only o e meat and lucky if you can choose two. Here, I get 6 tacos all with different meats. I think they have about 7 to 9 different selections.
Let me clear something up for those that think like me. So the tacos come in your traditional corn soft shell with the meat, diced onions and cilantro. On the menu for $1 tacos it says $1 for salsa and $1.50 for cheese. I might have had a dense comment but I assumed it was $1 for salsa and $1.50 for cheese on each tacos which made the $1 tacos day not sound so special.
So, it's $1.00 for a little container of salsa which I found was perfect amount for 6 tacos. Unless you like to go heavy of the salsa then you might need more. Also, the cheese comes in a slightly larger container than the salsa and again I found it to be enough for 6 tacos.
Perfect place for a quick bite at lunch. I have gone twice bow and will be going back again. They also charge extra for lime. Pretty sure it's $1.00 for two wedges (half lime). One time they gave them to me by accident but I used it and it did bring the tacos to another level.
All in all the tacos are very tasty and you can not beat the price.
Highly recommend and see you...
