Low-key, unassuming bar with a small patio tucked along Queen & Boulton. Quite nice that the patio is on Boulton so you get the action of Queen Street without it being too busy. Their Happy Hour from 5-7PM is a steal. Patio slowly filled up and service was pretty attentive for a one-man show, without being too excessive. The only downside is the limited hours (5PM-2AM) and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Either way, will definitely be back!

This place has a nice atmosphere and an amazing selection of wine. Laura was an exceptional server and was ver knowledgeable of the wines. We like to try new things and she wasn’t bothered or afraid when we asked her to surprise us with different wines so that we don’t order the same flavour every time. My favourite is definately the Red Cab Sav.! Very meaty and robust

Loved this spot for a chill drink. I’d say it’s a good vibe for a romantic date or just with friends. The lighting is quite romantic vibes I’d say. The cider is really good! It’s slightly sweet but also dry. For $8, a solid buy. The popcorn ($5) is huge. So much. But it needs salt badlyyyyy. Our server was so nice!

Laid back and a cute, lazy Sunday Montreal-style wine bar. My wife and I stumbled upon Chez Nous on our Queen St. E walk with our two young kids, but were denied entry. At the time, COVID restrictions were still in force and the patio was available to guests, and the patio had just one other party of two at the time (~6 pm). However, the patron behind the bar confirmed the owner had a no stroller/kids policy (not sure which one applied, possibly both, despite us suggesting to keep our stroller on the less-busy side-street sidewalk that had barely any traffic); nonetheless, we would not be served at Chez Nous. Fortunately, we continued our walk and found a home slightly west at The Comrade, which served innovative and varied tailored cocktails, extensive wine list by the glass/bottle, and quite tasty 'wine bar' style food. We would have liked to support Chez Nous, as we do enjoy trying new wines, and supporting local businesses after months of no business due to COVID, but the no-kids/stroller policy, and quite frankly, what seemed to be a rather limited 'tapas' options to snack on with a glass/bottle of wine @ Chez nous left us quite unfazed not having been able to enjoy vino at Chez nous and ultimately finding a more suitable place to dine/drink as a family. Shame, for a wine bar that in some senses brings me back to Paris feels, it takes it away with lackluster food options and no kids policy. A no-no in Europe, but North America is different !

Mostly a review for parents...

Chez Nous in the Riverside neighborhood of Leslieville is a true gem that deserves every bit of praise it receives. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy evening out.

The food is nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish is crafted with care, showcasing fresh ingredients and innovative flavors. Whether you’re indulging in small plates or a full meal, you’re in for a treat that delights the palate.

Their wine selection is impressive, offering a diverse range of options to complement any dish. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings, always ready to make thoughtful recommendations.

Speaking of the staff, they are truly professional and attentive. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile and excellent service that enhances the overall dining experience.

Chez Nous is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable evening of fantastic food, exquisite wine, and top-notch service. Highly...

I had such a wonderful experience here. Laura, the owner, is very personable and knowledgeable. She's great at making wine recommendations based on your palate. And for all the sceptics out there, Laura proves that Ontario has great wines! The space is nicely decorated and offers a cozy vibe without being small. The washrooms are very clean and gender-neutral. Laura has a snack list if you get hungry but welcomes outside food since Chez Nous does not have a full kitchen. Everything by the glass, half bottle, and bottle is well priced and well worth it. Wine really is the star...
