Service: the waitresses are giving us so much attitude 🤯(the only table with 2 Asians , everyone else are white)
so it’s a patio (right on the street next to parked cars). After a few drinks we asked if it’s ok to smoke here, she said no you can’t do it in Canada. And like not a friendly explanation
The way she said it made me felt a bit uncomfortable. So I decided to tell the next waitress about it- something doesn’t sit right, Idk. Perhaps it’s a misunderstanding right?
but here comes the worst part: before I even finish the story- she cut me off mid sentence with “No smoking within 9 meters, it’s the law in Canada ” and walked away… walked away… 🥲
I guess I’ve seen this 9m sign before, but… she walked away… walked away…. That’s rude ,racist or not ok.
And then after we asked for the bill, of course. The second waitress again served the bill with no smile whatsoever, and not a word. And of course the bill took 30 seconds to arrive but the drinks took forever.
Im shocked. I was expecting either friendly explanation, discussion or apology of the micro aggressive remarks… but got even more aggressive treatments.

The 2 insanely tender juicy patties.. with the crispy char on the edges. The sauce. The bun. Just thinking about it right now is driving me into a state of anxiety realizing I need another one right this second. If there was ever a time where a burger could intoxicate you... look no further. This place is a staple on queen st. The atmosphere is dark and classy. The bathrooms are always ridiculously clean which clearly shows you this place isnt messing around. The cocktails are top notch. The staff are always super attentive and they feel like friends half way through the experience because you're so hopped up on the most ridiculous burger high you can imagine. If you haven't gone, go now. Run. Dont think about...
Read moreI stopped in for a drink after work with my mom (visiting from abroad). I asked if we could sit outside, even though weather was not great, because I had my dog. I would have understood any level of hospitality rejecting my request but the general manager’s demeanour and response was unnecessarily rude. His remarks to my requests of being a regular, living in the area and having my mom/dog with me was: “That’s fine - you can come back”, “It doesn’t matter if I’m a paying customer” and the cherry on the top, “Who do you think you are, to expect everything to change just for you?” I wasn’t even asking for anything to change, just for a seat, outside - it’s still summer after all. I loved The Comrad but it’s lost its title of being the neighbourhood waterhole. I’m highly insulted at such treatment - as a human, a member of this neighbourhood and...
