I recently had a disappointing experience at this coffee shop. When I received my coffee, I noticed that the cup had green deposits on it and had not been properly cleaned. When I brought this to the attention of the staff (a girl and a guy), I was surprised by their lack of concern. They simply poured the coffee into another paper cup without offering an apology or any other gesture of goodwill.
To make matters worse, my partner's coffee cup also had lipstick marks on it, which was extremely concerning. This indicates that the lack of cleanliness and hygiene is a recurring issue at this establishment.
As someone who values cleanliness and hygiene, this experience left us both feeling very uncomfortable. We were disappointed that the staff did not take our concern seriously and did not seem to understand the severity of the situation. The fact that they did not offer an apology or any kind of compensation only made matters worse. At the very least make me another coffee :-(
Overall, I would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone. The lack of attention to cleanliness and customer service is unacceptable and I will never...
Read moreLocated at the corner of Dundas & Quebec, in The Junction, Claudia’s Coffee is one of the local favorites. The space is thoughtfully designed for a great spot to settle in for hours, whether you’re working or just relaxing with a good book. With ample seating and free WiFi, it's easy to spend time here, and the added bonus of a customer washroom makes it convenient for those planning to stay a while. For busier days, the takeout window adds extra convenience, allowing you to grab your drink on the go. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring your experience is always pleasant.
Claudia's is also an excellent choice for non-coffee drinkers, like myself. They offer a wide selection of drinks beyond coffee such as hot chocolate, tea, lattes, cider, and rotating seasonal specials that keep things interesting. I’ve tried a few different drinks here, and each one has been just as enjoyable as the last. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or not, Claudia's has something to satisfy every taste. However, the café isn't considered wheelchair accessible as you are required up go up a couple of steps you...
Read moreI really like Claudia’s! I honestly just have one issue that makes me hesitant at times to return. The drinks are great as well as food they offer. It’s a nice, airy space inside as well. The one con for us personally is just one of the staff members. All the ladies that work here are so sweet and friendly, I truly appreciate that. But there’s one curly haired guy who works here (I think on the weekends mostly? Bc he’s the one I always see on a weekend but I’m not sure if he’s there during other week day hrs) and he isn’t very kind or customer service oriented. I’m not sure why, but every time we have him serving us he has this superiority attitude. & he doesn’t make the drinks as well as the other ladies who work here. It feels like he doesn’t want to be there. We know we are going to get served attitude with our drinks when he is working. Maybe he just decided he doesn’t have a liking towards us in particular, I can’t say if he’s like this with everyone. But it’s literally the only downside for me bc it just makes for a not so...
