It was a 40 minute round trip drive to this bakery but it was really worth it. Bought the Krackerkorn sourdough and multigrain sourdough tasted great and perfect texture. Service was courteous and friendly and I will definitely return. Update. Bought the baguette - beautiful crust and delicious.

I'm really enjoying what I've experienced this far. Staff are friendly and the breads truly artisan. I make my way when I can because it's worth the effort. Overall I think the pastries could be less bread-like.

Amazing bread and very knowledgeable about all ingredients and processes involved in making their great tasting products.

Today was the only chance I will have to go to the wilds of Scarborough, but the drive is well worth the time and gas. Looked around, and there is not much to look at, no coffee, nowhere to sit, just your basic store where you can watch the magic take place. The woman, part owner so I believe, was a little suspicious of me, of course she should I was looking at everything! The colours where amazing, I mean AMAZING, the Maillard reaction was reacting like there was someone with brown paint, and please understand, that golden colour is DEAD SEXY to me! Grabbed two baguettes, one Pana Rustika, just made cinnamon bun, two different cookies, and a croissant, and a pain au chocolat. First off, by far the best baguette ever, I mean crispy crust, chewy, soft inside, and lovely air pockets, imho best ever. The sourdough was dark and sexy just sitting there like it had been naughty. Great colour, crust, beautiful crumb, some large air holes, great oven spring, and not over powering sourness, people often become confused with sourdough if it is not sour. It just means the leaving agent is from the yeast on the grain, well done. Fresh baked cinnamon bun, yup fresh baked, how can that be bad, well the combination of the sweetness and the cinnamon where a great match, the bun was not too airy and was very chewy, again good job, nothing remotely like that crap at the mall. Did not have the cookies, for my daughter; mind you the texture was crispy yet chewy. The croissants were very good, a third or fourth imho. The colour was decent, the butter was there, but not the higher fat butter from France or North of Toronto, but don’t get me wrong, they are a fine croissant, and there a few better and much, much, much worse, I would purchase them again with no problem. All in all a GREAT boulangerie in the wilds of Scarborough, just a seat with a great cup of coffee would top the experience! Thank you for a...

Really disappointed with the way they bake their breads. It was our first time trying this place and I will never go back. We went on a Sunday afternoon (around 12:30pm) and picked up: Krackerkorn loaf (rating: 3/10) Pana rustika loaf (3/10) Golden raisin brioche (6/10) Two cinnamon rolls (2/10) 2 bread puddings (1/10)

All were subpar. Each of the bread loaves had an extremely hard bark that only hardened even more over time. I literally thought I was going to chip a tooth and it made my TMJ worse.... The cinnamon rolls lacked cinnamon flavour and the dough was extremely dry and chewy. The bread puddings lacked flavour and like the cinnamon rolls, they too were really dry. Lastly, the only thing remotely close to 'good enough' was the Golden raisin brioche. Like the cinnamon rolls, they too lacked cinnamon flavour and the swirl just wasn't sweet enough. The second day of having the krackerkorn and Pana rustika, I literally got heart burn because the bark was just too hard to digest. I thought I was getting h.pylori again but I realized my GERD symptoms only came up after eating a slice of these breads. Sourdough shouldn't give you GERD.....

We tried the bread right when we got home and the first thing my hubby says is the lady knows her bread bark is hard, so it's intentional. Just really surprised and confused that there are customers who would enjoy a hard bark on their breads. But then again, it's the only sourdough bakery in the area that sells clean ingredient...

Edit response to the owner- If you were educated enough or even went to school, they would have taught you how to behave and have manners lol. Anyways, My review is my experience at your lil rude bakery. I do not need to stick to a theme lol. I provided enough content for people to fully know about your uneducated self. People will understand just by reading it.

If possible i would not even give 1 star. I’m not surprised to see the other 1 star reviews here stating facts. Even the replies on their reviews clearly proves that how rude the lady is. I went in to check out the bakery first time as it looks pretty nice. I was in a really happy mood and i picked croissant and even between the conversation we had was pretty full of bad attitude and i sensed because her replies were kinda non friendly. And then we started taking pictures outside the bakery somewhere and i thought as the bakery inside is aesthetic so i went inside and asked the rude lady if we can click some pictures in here and she said NO IT IS NOT ALLOWED! YOU CANNOT TAKE PICTURES IN HERE! YOU CAN ONLY TAKE PICTURES OUTSIDE. I was oh ohkay. I was literally regretting asking her after I already sensed her behavior in last 5 minutes. And lady or whoever you may reply whatever on this review, no one cares. You literally lost some potential customers. ( not because of the photography thing, but simply because of rude behavior). And unless you change this behavior you gonna keep loosing it. I hope you learn...
