I ordered the twin deal 2 Shawarmas and a side of large onion rings through skip the dishes tonight.
The chicken and mixed beef shawarma comes with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickled cucumbers included free but hot peppers, cucumbers , turnips and parsley cost 50 cents extra here. Hot sauce, garlic, tahini is free but hummos costs 50 cents extra as well.
The Shawarma tasted good, nice amount of meat but I didn't like paying extra for hot peppers, parsley, turnips or hummos. Most shawarma places include these toppings especially parsley, hummos hot peppers and the standard pink turnips for free.
Onion rings tasted good.
Overall nice taste, wrapped nicely, and good portion of meat but too many extra charges for standard Shawarma fixings that all other places include. The owner should consider more free options and charge extra for the rice, feta, olives, fries as these are not normal Shawarma inclusions. The extra fees made...
Read more1X- They hide and make the food behind 2 counters so you can't see what's going while they are making it. 2X- I thought the SPIT was the pride of every sharwma place? For the customer to watch the meat turning and the juices dripping down and being shaved off in ur presence. U don't get that experience here because again its hidden in the back in the kitchen, Really Weird! 3X- The portion of chicken inside the sharwma is lacking, it had more lettuce than meat but than again that might have been a good thing bcs the chicken taste like yuk, no flavor at all, it was missing that parsley stuff and didn't taste Middle Eastern at all, more Indianish 4X- Their small fries for 3.99 were served in a mini paper tray w no covering and I can't even lie, there was no more than 15 individual fries in the order So anyone who knows Sharwma knows this ain't it! And this place won't get...
Read moreAvoid this store. A 2 for 1 deal was advertised on doordash. This deal (15$) was actually the exact same as the in-store price for 2 wraps (15$).
When I went for pickup, they stated the receipt from doordash only showed 1 wrap ordered (for 15$). They said they could only give one wrap, while their menu behind them literally had the exact same price I paid (15$) - for 2 wraps. And while my doordash app clearly shows I ordered the 2 for 1 deal.
In other words, they used a clerical technicality from doordash to charge me 15$ for a single wrap, while their actual instore menu, and doordash, literally did not even offer the possibility of buying a single wrap for 15$ .
What a bizarre and strange set of choices for a local business to make. I suppose saving 1-2 dollars on the cost of making a another wrap is worth losing a local...
