I love Colombian food and I've been to different restaurants around the city. The place is a bit far from where I live but I drove all they way there so I could get empanadas (30) for a party that I was hosting. While waiting for my order to be ready I ended up spending and extra $150ish in extra Colombian food and goods. Finally the empanadas we're ready and I was excited cuase I knew my guests were going to love them; I asked the girl that served me to give me some extra sauce as I was expecting some guests and empanadas must be accompanied with sauce to get the full experience. Surprising the attendant gave me a small container of sauce ( enough for about 5 empanadas), when I suggested that the number of empanadas I was buying would need a bit more sauce, she was very rude and told me that it wouldn't matter as that was all she was allowed to give me and if I need it more I could buy it. Very disappointing and it shows poor customer service considering that I was making a big order and I spent a reasonable amount of money in 10 minutes that I was in the store. Some businesses need to train their employees in good customer service and client satisfaction,..very dissatisfied and won't be making the hour drive again for such an...
Read moreBad customer service. Walked in to another customer already complaining about the service to the owner. The owner didnt defuse the situation but rather let her pride get in the way and told the customer not to come back if they didnt like the way things are. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but realized fairly quickly how bad the service is. Once it was our turn, and we were in the middle of ordering, i asked my mother if she wanted anything else. The cashier got impatient and asked the customer behind us what they wanted. She proceeded to pack their items and I had to follow up with her by asking if she was ready to finish our order. She got our order wrong and only gave me 1 of what I asked for, but I just let it go. When we got out we realized she didnt give us ajil for our empanadas. When i went back to ask for it she informed me she could only give me 1 aji although I had ordered 8 empanadas. Point blank, once we finally got to eat them, they were by far the worst empanadas I've had in my life. Extremely salty and no guiso inside the empanadas. If you're Colombian you know how crucial guiso and aji are when eating an empanada. Very disappointing for a Colombian establishment. They dont even have customer service...

Ok, so, I get the pandemic has probably forced eateries to change suppliers or pinch on fillings and seasonings but when the flavor is lacking: Houston, we have a problem. A chicken empanada was void of any seasoning, I'm sorry, it was. And please don't tell me you all are putting meat to cook prior to any marinating because the taste that was left in my mouth (after discarding into a tissue) suggested that's exactly what's happening. I also got an empty cheese empanada (sounds ridiculous but it's true), which I don't even know how that could happen (the second one barely had any cheese in it). Beautiful pastries once filled with healthy amounts of guava jam or dulce deleche now a very thin spread overtaken by overly well done dough, so it crumbles away like powder (and chewy as anything). Come on y'all, I really loved this spot and didn't want to go in on you but it's time to start rethinking some things and putting more care into what's being served. I marveled at the beautiful dishes I discovered here because I hadn't tried Colombian food prior but lately it's been terrible. Wake up & get...
