I am a person of service and when that service is not provide it warrants my review! I went to this location Monday feb 08th 2021 and purchased a channa roti with two doubles for lunch, the cashier was service oriented and assisted me also took the time asking if I wanted to add chicken which I did, now the reason I went to your restaurant is because of your menu posted under the Scarborough site..well I enjoyed the service more than anything else and decided to get my lunch today as well...oh my the cashier I encountered was a hog, she overcharged doubted my knowledge about the price I paid on Monday and told me the site havenāt been updated and I was looking at an old menu...she claimed that she has been cashing there for four years and the prices have gone up with no specials...well she chose the wrong person because she needs to educate herself on service!!!!, pricing, a computer to see what the offer is and should take training from the server, i was so upset with her tone I didnāt took two bites of the roti and dumped the rest....the server was better than the cashier... Boss you are missing the point that tells me you clearly donāt understand what I was talking about!, firstly your cashier telling lies because she didnāt think her attitude problems would get caught, I ask how the channa roti price changed from 3.99 to 5.99 thatās the mini roti, how can you pay 3.99 Monday and three days after it changed...when the website wasent updated..I kindly paid d price its her attitude I am talking about, I clearly stated the server who is not even a front line worker greets ppl with a smile, all ppl need especially during this Covid lockdown is a little smile, to ensure no further derogatory reviews, ensure each customer is greeted properly, we actually hv to go home and enjoy food we buy and not dump it......take this as a learning experience and work on your front line service.....when she spoke I taught I was in India and of a lower caste.....I donāt know you nor do I care to know you, so where she get that from is beyond me, I have never seen you! However to avoid further mix up ensure your menu reflects your actual charges......I hv provided you with sufficient information to better your service side of your business, you should be great full I didnāt charge you for these advice....now just remember one thing one customer equals 1000 customers....on that note good luck in the future, I will visit again because I had no issues with your food, however look out for both positive and negative comments in the near future......also if you are interested, I can provide free customer service training Despite your derogatory comments...

She took it without even apologizing and said they would bring another doubles as a replacement. Added to this, several of our group paid for the buffet and had some leftovers which we were taking with us in a container that the restaurant GAVE us. When we were leaving the place, the guy accused us of STEALING the food. How could we steal food that we had already paid for and were only taking the excess that we had leftover. Disgusting service as a first time visitor for me and Iāll NEVER recommend this place EVER. ZERO STARS!!! Iāll be going over to Lenaās next time.
Updated I see you decided to respond. So petty and unprofessional. And for you to allude that I CONVENIENTLY found a nail in my food AFTER is completely FALSE. You have no class whatsoever. I bit into the doubles and found a nail when we first purchased the food which was at the beginning of our visit, not at the end. You are a LIAR and misconstruing your sequence of events for your convenience. I came to your colleague at the counter and quietly made the observation. No quarrel, no noise. I thought you would have at least apologize but your establishment is disgustingly unprofessional. I could have made a bigger issue of the nastiness I found in the doubles but I dealt with it in a professional manner. No worries Iāll have the health inspector take a visit to your establishment. If you want to stay at your counter and watch every customer who comes in and pays for a buffet and watch to see if they share the food, then YOU as business people have a serious problem. EVERY member of our party bought items on your menu including several who paid for the buffet so there was no need for us to share. However if one member was waiting on their food which was taking a little long took ONE piece of plantain from another member who paid for the buffet and you had a problem with that then you are the pettiest restaurant owners I know. Iām happy to take your advice and not return to your restaurant and if the service at Lenaās is certainly better, even if thatās YOUR family, then Iāll give them my money. I order my regular: Veggie Platter with 4 veggies. I always order it as 2 portions of mango and 2 portions of JUST Channa, no aloo (potato). PLUS another roti PLUS an 8oz boneless chicken PLUS a goat roti., PLUS 2 pack of currants roll, PLUS 2 packs of Kurma, and a Peardrax. This $70+ order is my REGULAR order everytime I go there. I been going there for decades. At least once every two weeks. My wife and I have become attuned to regularly craving everything in our USUAL order. Itās become clockwork.
I get there, pickup my order, and took it home. Only to find THIS PHOTO. Which was basically their SINGLE ORDER of mango and channa thrown into one container to just mix up into a watery diarrhea looking mess. They messed up my order and they messed up their own plating of it. It was minutes before closing and I drove far to get home so I called them and told them about it and said I was coming for what I ordered.
They waited until I got there, gave me my double mango and double channa in a proper container with everything separated, and proceeded to charge me the few dollars difference after I drove half hour home, and then half hour back to their restaurant to get what I actually ordered.
Daniel at the front insisted on charging me because he claims I ordered my order wrong and that the whole thing was my fault. He accused me of incorrectly ordering my own REGULAR ORDER which Iāve been ordering for a decade now. Never mind that Iāve been going there longer than heās been alive, but his tone was offensive as he continuously blamed it on me.
I suggested to him next time itās āsorry customer for the miscommunication, I would be happy to fix your $75 food order for you. Thanks for coming again.ā
Sad to say I wonāt be going back there again. Not after the way Daniel treated me.
Consistency of quality has really gone down in the last year. While prices went UP.
