DoubleSushi — Restaurant in Toronto

If you're looking for great sushi and amazing customer service, go to Double Sushi on the Danforth! I'm a big AYCE fan but sometimes I just want a couple good rolls and tofu for dinner, and Double Sushi always delivers!

Their rolls are decently priced, but individual sushi pieces can be a bit pricey. They have a great selection of Bento boxes and appetizers and make always make your meal quickly! A few weeks ago, I placed an order for delivery and it was hot and ready at my door in 15 minutes! The staff is always beyond nice, super helpful and accommodating. For example, of you need less salt in your meal, just let them know when you place your order and ask for reduced or no salt.

Its short of being okay. Ordered the dinner bento box, grilled salmon with tempura. Definitely not an eat in place, they do not look after their dining room walls. Tattered and peeling wall paper, and that subtle chinese restaurant smell...sigh... Definitely over priced compared to what one can experience at most japanese restaurants in the downtown core - downtown j-restaurants are generally better kept and priced the same and the food is better. I did not get any greeting upon entry, not that it matters much to them. Food is fine but not worth what they are charging. Double Sushi: Always Fine, Occasionally Great

Double Sushi is the kind of place you keep ordering from because it’s reliable—not amazing, not bad, just solid. Most nights, it’s good enough to hit the spot. Other nights, it’s just OK—not bad, just definitely decent.

And then, once in a while, they absolutely nail it. The sushi is fresh, the rolls are perfect, and you think, “This might be the best sushi in town.” -maybe it’s the fish shipment, or maybe it’s just luck. Who knows?
