Main Event Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Toronto

Food has been excellent since the day it opened, especially the poutine, but the girls behind the bar Ashley,and Rachel , they’re a delight,. The “man” behind the scene, “scene”!, well, pool(Billiards), Video game from the 80’s, so many different games on it, ice cream( Kwartha), old style candy, for example Fundips, GoldMine gum, came in a cloth bag, Wax Lips, Red Hots, Slushie Machine. Now the the guy behind the scene, my Dill Wings were spot on,. Like having a a really old kosher dill pickle, but than again he knows what I like. The cleanliness of the place by the Guy, makes me “feel” like a Pinesol groupie! I could tell you about the liquids, but I don’t want to...

We were meaning to check this spot out for a while, so we finally did one Friday a couple weeks back to grab a drink. It was absolutely lovely and we felt bad we didn’t go sooner! So inviting (Ashley our server is incredibly hospitable) and prices are very decent. They did a nice job with the decor, keep it very clean, etc. The Leafs game was also on. I hope this spot starts getting the traffic they deserve so that they can add more tables. We didn’t grab a bite to eat but from everyone we’ve chatted with, the food is great and they also had a bunch of food deliveries when we were there, so we look forward to grabbing a bite there too...

Terrible place , not welcoming what so ever . Went in there for lunch on a Monday and was told by the female bartender the kitchen doesn’t open until after 4:00 ...? the place opened at 12:00 ...? There was 1 other person in the bar and he laughed when l asked for a menu saying to me welcome to the oh so lovely main event bar restaurant.
