Many thanks to my Uber driver Elias for telling me about this place! I enjoyed some of THE finest falafel and Turkish coffee this city has to offer. Both were spectacular and I am not sure why this place does not have more buzz, particularly with several locations around.

With that said, I agree with other reviewers it was indeed very pricy! Six falafel and a coffee came out to just over $25. This is well beyond what you would pay for a highly rated spot in Old Toronto, but with that said these really were head and shoulders above any of those spots.

With more reasonable pricing and a bit of a warmer service (I just feel conspicuously non-Jewish in kosher establishments a lot of the time! Hey it is what it is and worth it for the food) I would rate this place higher šŸ™‚

Really though, I only take my coffee black and in Canada it is not always easy to find a cup meant to shine on its own without two creams and two sugars eeuuuuck. While meals here may be out of my price range these days, I will definitely be stopping in for a cup whenever I’m...

Update: they were closed at 5:20pm on a Wednesday. The hours on their door are incorrect

The lack of AC during a heat wave is extremely dangerous for the workers in there. It must have been something like 43+ Celsius inside the store and even hotter near the oven. The worker was sweating so much and reeked of body odour. It was unpalatable to get any food there. Extremely dangerous as he can pass out from heat exhaustion.

As a customer, obviously I can't eat inside because it's like a sauna, but you can't eat outside either because there is no shade by the picnic tables and it's so windy all your plates will get blown away.

Went several times and the AC was broken. How long does it take to fix this? It's a OSHA violation. Their other location is just as bad and they have a smoke issue, all the workers are inhaling...

Such a mess in this restaurant!!

The gentleman behind the counter was bothered by our entrance into their completely empty and not so clean restaurant, disturbing his phone screen time…

He rang us first and then touched our food with the same unwashed ungloved hands… I asked him to please wash his hands and he didn’t like my ask, so he asked a college to come from the back and prepare our food, as he went back to his screen time!! Unfortunately we disturbed her FaceTime with Georgia, but she brought her phone with her to the front, behind the counter, continued the FaceTime as she prepared our food… Had her attention to the Georgian conversation, made the order wrong but I didn’t complain further and just shut my mouth as it was easier at that hopeless point.

Anyway… very disturbing and...

We just got a shawarma dinner for takeout, we came home and opened it up, there is no side order. When I called to ask what the dinner comes with, I was rudely told by the lady on the phone ā€œif you don’t ask, we don’t offerā€ about the options.. I’m shocked that I have to ASK for a side order and it doesn’t come with one... and the service over the phone, is unbelievable... I paid $24 + tax for a kids size portion of meat and some salads. See photo for yourself....

You cannot go wrong with Dr. Laffa. The value that you get here is amazing. I recommend getting the "Laffa" options for shawarma or fresh made falafel. There is a great variety of topics to choose from seen here is a chicken shawarma with coleslaw, pickles, fries, Israeli salad. One "sandwich" can be enough for 2 meals and is a great snack the next day. This location is nice and much larger than the Wilson area location.
