Hate to do this BUT: I have placed numerous orders through UBEREATS to this establishment in the past and also visited in person. I’ve had a few issues with them before one being a most recent issue of July 2025 where they sent me STALE HARD BAGEL that was not edible. when I had reached out to the establishment about it they had excuses and did not refund me. I also reached out to UBEREATS and they gave me a hard time for a refund.
Today, I contacted Edill’s to make a complaint due to receiving a drink that was different from what i ordered (TRES LECHE ICED DRINK). It had green stuff inside of it which looks disgusting and not safe to consume. I called Edill’s coffee house numerous times today as you will see in my screenshot pictures and no one answered. I left a voicemail message for a manager to call me and no one called me back. I reached out to them through Instagram (see picture proof attached) and once again: They made excuses with no care at all. There are so many common sense ways to handke this issue and could have been quietly dealt with if they had any human decency. All yall care about is QUANTITY OVER QUALITY. Edill’s staff told me to go to UBEREATS for refund. I’ve contacted UBEREATS and still have not received a refund. This drink looks like mold or something gross! I need my money back and for this establishment to be looked into with their practices on food health and safety. I dont even understand why your WHITE straw has green stuff on it too. (Picture attached)
Since when is a Tres Leches drink pitaschio based?! And why (IF THATS WHAT IT EVEN WAS) was it near my 3 milk drink. 🤢 This complaint is not coming from a one time issue either, its numerous issues of wrong orders, stale bagels, awful drink with LACK OF CARE and customer service has brought me here. I actually liked your stuff but when yall start doing shit like this without any proper resolution on your overpriced food then its a problem. I tried reaching out first to settle but that didnt happen so i was forced to...

To Edill, I love your place ever since my wife found it back when it was called Royal Tea Coffee (next to the flooring shop). I was so impressed with it and I couldn't believe that this place was located in Scarborough within an industrial and retail furniture area. Everyone in my circle would be annoyed by me when theyd suggest to get Tim Hortons or Starbucks and I would forcefully bring them to your coffee shop. I wanted to change the way they drank their coffee. I also remember when you first recommended the pastrami sandwich and insisted that I put Dijon on it. I appreciate you for that! All that being said, I was disappointed today when I heard that the tips I have been kindly giving to your staff actually are going directly to you. Allhahmdulillah, by the grace of God I don't want to take away from the fact that you are in a position to provide these amazing employees with jobs to provide for themselves and their loved ones. But as someone who worked in the service industry for many years before going into my actual career, those tips made a huge difference in my life. Customers make the decision to tip based on the service they receive and the staff member that they interact with. It was my face that would greet the customers and would bring a positive and uplifting aura into the establishment so ensure they have the most pleasant experience. From speaking with you directly I know you have that same energy. So I was under the impression that the tips I have been giving were making their way to the workers. I hope your business countinues to flourish and that you never need to be in a position to need those tips meant for your staff . I hope your business can expand and open many, many locations. I leave this here to encourage customers to not to tip anymore as I will be doing the same. The cost of living is high enough and my intention is to give thanks to the employees making my coffee. I don't have any social media apps so I hope this makes a...
Read moreVisited this coffee house for the first time recently, the atmosphere is clean and nice. I ordered the dates & honey milkshake and the pistachio milkshake, both of which were pretty good.
They have a laptop policy in place, where part of the cafe is designated for laptop use, while the other area of the cafe is for socializing. You are not allowed to use laptops in this area, only tablets. I understand the need to ensure you have tables available for customers, and from reading other reviews it seems there are people that appreciate this policy, but if you are going to enforce it then enforce it for all customers. At the time I arrived, the laptop area was full, so I sat at a laptop-free table to get some work done while I waited for a laptop table to become available. I was told that I needed to put my laptop away, and I could either wait for a laptop table to become available or leave the restaurant. At this time there were three other customers in the laptop free area who were not told to move or put their laptops away. I later saw some friends, who told me that they had been sitting in the laptop free area for two hours with their laptops out and had not been told to put it away or move, even after receiving their drinks. In other reviews, the response has been that the laptop policy is the policy for all customers and no exceptions can be made, but it seems that exceptions are frequently made.
As a suggestion, you should swap the laptop-free and laptop areas. The laptop area is very small, and it seems like most people visit this coffee house to get work done. The laptop-free area also seems better set up to support laptop use, as it has a large table and outlets near every table. Also, maybe consider setting a time limit on laptop tables, if you're concerned about having enough tables for customers. It seems that half the tables that are in use in the laptop-free area are taken up by people who are waiting for a laptop table to become available, so you still lose those tables to...
