Been loyal Hopper Hut fans since 2000, & visit Toronto from Detroit only to eat there. After 2007 it simply decayed beyond tolerance.Would still,at least make once every year eating there. Every time would decide would never to again eat there, but our earlier on love for Hopper Hut used to force us make yet another disappointing patronage. On 1st August ,hoping against hopes for a wonderful dining experience, and the name "NEW Hopper Hut"Visited for lunch. Felt sorry for ourselves for our Bad Decision;- a)extra-ordinarily long delay at service, b) the "nethili" fries were Totally saturated in Salt, to the point only the taste of Salt could be felt. c) What ever dish we ordered for ; whether Pittu Biryani, String hopper Pittu or Pittu Parotta/Chapathi were completely drowned in unimaginable Red chilly Powder. Even our family that delights in Very Spicy food could not stand it . Suggestion: Could the one taking Orders , ask for patrons Preference regarding Spiciness ie V.spicy, Spicy, Medium or Mild? d) the earlier on practice of providing Co-conut Milk for Appam ( despite or request that we would specially pay for it ) was simply a time of the past. Could see only a handful of other families there. Is it Possible that they have a really Horrible Cook, or a Cook who wants to deliberately turn away clientele by default saturating the food,with dumping of Salt & Red Chilly Powder? Still being loyal to Hopper Hut , am bringing out all these so that Hopper Hut could still Turn around for the better,if only it listens to...

Greetings gentle reader. The Ridiculously Rude Restaurant Employee of the Month Award is given to..... The front counter lady at Hopper Hut !! I've been a loyal customer of this strip mall restaurant for more than 10 years. During that time, I've had the stunning displeasure of being served by the same lady during previous visits. Her daft and disinterested and disrespectful level of customer service clearly makes her worthy of the Award. I'd enjoy the opportunity to share my feedback regarding the front of house lady with the person(s) responsible for placing her at the front of house. My valuable and free input for the Hopper Hut owner.... a) Train the lady. b) Teach her to adopt a professional, welcoming demeanor at all times. c) Inform the lady that she should be on her best behavior because she is representing your establishment. Two women I briefly spoke with outside the restaurant agreed with my shared summation. They also said the lady-- and generally all Hopper Hut staff are curt. e) Other reviews of Hopper Hut include words like "disappointing" and "poor service". In respect to the food;

1. All items dumped onto the hot counter were cold. This included fish rolls and cutlets, mutton rolls etc. Nothing was being held at a safe temperature.
2. No items were covered.
3. I politely requested a Kothu dish. I strongly suspect it was microwaved. Certainly not fresh. Zero flavor as well. It's headed to the...
