Negative Experience at Fusion Restaurant - Unpleasant Interaction with Owner
I regret to share my recent experience at Fusion Restaurant on Friday, January 26th, 2024, around 8-9pm. I used the Too Good To Go app to order two items. However, the atmosphere upon entering felt uncomfortable, and interactions with the owner, a large, dreadlocked person, were disappointing.
The owner exhibited impolite behavior, taking my phone to swipe on the app and making disrespectful comments, including referring to my lady as "mommy" in front of me. The arrogance continued as he bragged about making the food and made inappropriate remarks. When I addressed the issue, his aggression escalated, culminating in a scene outside the restaurant. my lady felt threatened. I felt threatened disrespected. And I don’t think I could forgive a person for such a spectacle, especially in a position of power. As a boss to another boss, I expect more self-control. That was very disappointing.
It's disheartening to experience such behavior, especially when shared identity and culture could have fostered understanding. A lack of humility and proper communication skills can indeed lead to customer dissatisfaction. Hopefully, the owner reflects on these incidents to improve the overall customer experience and avoid future negative reviews.
As a customer, I found his actions disrespectful, and I believe his short temper poses a danger to the public. I, personally, will not return to Fusion, and I caution others to consider their own discretion before patronizing this establishment. The lack of mutual respect demonstrated by the owner was disappointing and disheartening.
As I am a fair person, I don’t want this review to be totally negative so I do give credit on my very first experience months ago there was a very polite and welcoming woman that served me and my lady and that was a big reason on why we came back. we also noticed there is an Asian gentleman working in the kitchen and we really liked the multicultural aspect that was being established. In regards to the owner the dreadlocks man the first experience I had was bittersweet as when we left the first time I seen him, and he seemed a bit polite with a tad of arrogance, but we did not hold that against him. I just hope that he reflects on the circumstance hold of meditation, and remember a important principle of life manners...

I had a really unpleasant experience at this lounge, and I feel it’s important to share for others. I came in to relax, bought a bucket of beer, and was told by a petite bar staff member that I could sit anywhere. After about 2 hours, when the lounge got busier, the same staff member came up to me and rudely asked me to leave the sofa I was sitting on, claiming someone had paid for the booth. I offered a simple suggestion as I am also a business owner and understands situations like that. I told her to just move a table from they other tables by the entrance closer so I could easily place my drink but she refused, insisting I move to a table by the entrance. When I politely questioned this, she threatened to call security. Her colleague came (A tall guy) and was much more polite and professional. He brought the table closer which calmed the situation.
As if that wasn’t enough, after like 45 mins while I was still drinking, she even took my unfinished drink without asking, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Honestly, it felt like she was looking for a fight, and it completely ruined my experience. The attitude and service were uncalled for.
I understand that policies can change, but the way I was treated left a lot to be desired. I won’t be returning, and I hope the management takes note of how their staff is handling customers.
PS: This situations goes to show that some Chaos happens in lounges cause of the way staff members treat their clients. For me I have grown, well educated and more exposed past that stage of proven a need to stand on an initial agreement. Read moreI'm leaving a 3 Star. Because the 1st 2 times we ordered for pick up. The food was AMAZING!! This time, 2 days ago, we picked up our food, & It looked a bit off. We thought it was just the way it was All thrown in one container together. Which, in itself is pretty gross. By Later that night, & All day yesterday. Horrible Cramps, pain, & sickness! We definitely got food poisoning. I Tried to call the restaurant to let them know, because I believe in speaking to the Owners, before having to go this route. However, they never answer the phone. And they Clearly don't check voicemails, because you can't even leave one. Their answering machine is always full. So disappointed. We loved Fusion , but won't return after this.
