If you're looking for an authentic Colombian dining experience in Toronto, Esto Es Colombian Restaurant is a must-visit. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the vibrant culture of Colombia.

The menu boasts a variety of traditional dishes, each prepared with care and a genuine touch of home. The arepas are a standout, perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously tender inside. The bandeja paisa is another highlight, offering a hearty and flavorful combination of meats, beans, and plantains that will leave you thoroughly satisfied.

The service is exceptional—friendly and attentive staff ensure that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Colombian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Esto Es Colombian Restaurant delivers an unforgettable culinary journey. Esto Es Colombian Restaurant offers a delightful mix of authentic flavors, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance. It's a true gem in Toronto's...

I took my friend to try Colombian food for the first time. We got empanadas (must try) he got the chicken with mushrooms and I got rice with chicken and fries. My friend and I loved the empanadas and even the sauce and the chicken with mushrooms, however once we got the rice with chicken? the plate had a watery risotto consistency that traditionally the commonly known Colombian version of the dish their spin on the rice ..which im asuming is monterey jack cheese) had this smell that unfortunately put me off entirely from finishing it..since well..being Colombian myself..I was expecting a familiar taste...not a cheesy taste.

I wasn’t a fan of how it smelt like old cheese and how the rice was pretty much melted and watered by the cheese. I believe if you are offering a Colombian experience its good to try other ingredients to add authenticity, but sometimes
in some other cases its better to stick to old customs

Overall a good experience, but if you're looking for a taste of home...maybe try...

Visited with a friend on a weekend for lunch. We got their empanadas, patacon con camadores y guacamole, and bandeja paisa. The empanadas were average. The patacon con camadores y guacamole was tasty and had a generous serving of guacamole but needed lime or something citrusy added to the dish (in my opinion). Their bandeja paisa was one of the better ones that I’ve tried in terms of the meat (steak, pork crackling, sausage). I’m not always a fan of the steak that comes with this dish (because it can be overcooked at times) but here, it was fantastic!

The staff were all friendly and attentive plus they had a live singer (on the second floor) while we were there. Not sure if it’s a regular thing that they do or a one-off performance, but we appreciated the added ambiance! Just note, that it can be a touch loud if you sit right by the performer because it’s a small space and their speaker is quite loud. Overall, we had a nice time and would go back to try different things...

This place offers a good variety of Colombian food in Toronto. Even when we arrived about 35 minutes before closing they served us without any problem. It seems to be a small family owned business, but I can’t say it for sure. Service was fine, by the time we were there there was no front of the house greeter, the young lady who attended us was out and when she arrived, she was very courteous and was an excellent waiter. My major issue was the food. I ordered the fish sancocho, a fish soup served with a side of white rice, plantains and fried fish. The soup was very good, the rice was a bit over cooked, and the fish was extremely salty on one side and normal on the other. (Did someone forget “that” side was already seasoned?). No coffee or desert was offered at the end Bottom line: Not recommended if you are close to the end of the service hours.

It was my 1st time going here, i think i went in with higher expectations then i should have. I ordered Arroz con Pollo (rice mixed with chicken and veggies) and was disappointed as it came really dry and i found sausage pieces in it (again not what i expected as i usually eat this without sausage. It just depends on who makes it). It originally came with a different side but i switched it to salad. My husband ordered carne asada (thin sliced beef and then bbqd) with french fries and a small salad. He said it hit the spot but he had better elsewhere. We also ordered a mango juice to split. We ordered it with water instead of the milk option - tasted over watered down.
