The patty prices and quality have changed $17.00 for a bag of 6 frozen spicy beef patties on my last visit caught me by surprise. After warming one up and eating it I found that there is less filling inside like a small lump and a lot of dough where the patty is pressed closed together. You used to get a bite of filling every bite even on the sealed edges and pressed corners now all you get is a bite of crust and a little meat in the middle. I travel from Scarborough to buy patties here because I rated them to be the best in the city but in my eyes, they have definitely dropped the baton on they way they make them now and I will not be returning to be disappointed again. Especially if they're new jacked up prices for their lesser than average standard quality patty is going to be what we get as a new standard. The price difference should reflect greatness if you want me to pay that much and you are the bakery source that makes the patties in house. Why are you pricing frozen bags at over $2.25 per patty as if you have them already warmed up to eat? This is your bread and butter. What you're known for and you're feeling yourselves too much if you think less is more pertains to your patties you are sadly mistaken. I used to preach about Fahmee Bakery like it was the gospel for Jamaican beef patties but now unfortunately you left me no choice but to tell everyone the sad new truth. 👎 Ps. You new ground goat meat patties was another disappointment as well. Try taking them in a different direction and replacing the ground meat with actual proper goat meat. Then those...
Read moreI went to purhase meat patties and the last two times, I received hard dried patties.
I went in today, the second time, bought two patties, and went in my vehicle to eat them.
As soon as I opened the bag, I was again disappointed because the patties were rock hard, and meat was dried up inside.
I decided to complain and return patties for fresh ones. The young woman said no problem, and was about to give me dried patties again.
I said I wanted the patties that were at the back of oven because they were thin, nice and yellow and fresh.
She said that she would give me fresh soft ones.
So, again I went to my car and discovered she had given me not so hard patties, but the inside was dried out again.
I had purchased patties several times at the store, and they were soft and juicy on the inside.
My conclusion is that they sell you the dried hard patties first, which is not very ethical. At least they should be selling those patties at least for half price.
Here's my advise: ask for the fresh patties, and if they don't give them to you, ask to get them for half price, or walk out the store.
This practice of selling hot old stuff first will definitely discourage repeat customers.
Who would ever want to eat a hard...
Read moreNot your typical half moon shaped Jamaican patty but that doesn't mean it's not Jamaican. The crust isn't extremely flaky like the regular patty's you're use to but has a thicker, less flakier, less crisp pastry almost like a Chinese wife cake (lo ma beng.) It works perfectly with the thicker pastry that is compensated by the amount of filling they put into it, but it gets even better when you pair it with a piece of coco bread. Their jerk chicken/pork sandwich is amazing but the fact they only give you literally 3 pieces of chicken/pork compared to tastees makes them lose a star but other than that this place is a 5 star for their beef patties hands down!!! If you like spicy try a piece of their hot peppers in your patty they have up at the front.
Update Aug 8 2021
The last 2 times I've been here the young lady at the front got my order wrong. I asked for 4 beef patties and she only gave me 2. I didn't realize until I got home. next time I will double check the order before leaving but I shouldn't have to because my order wasn't big. I just wanted...
