Fresca Pizza is, without a doubt, the best and most affordable pizza in Toronto. Forget about the big chains like Pizza Pizza and Domino’s—this Vietnamese family-owned spot blows them all out of the water. As a Vietnamese person myself, it makes me proud to support a small local business that brings something truly special to the table.

What sets Fresca apart isn’t just the unbeatable price (a giant slice for $5 cash or $5.65 with card)—it’s the flavour. Their pizzas combine classic Italian inspiration with a subtle Vietnamese twist that makes every bite unique and memorable. From the thin, crispy crust to the drizzle of fragrant garlic oil, there’s a distinct flair that makes Fresca unlike any other pizzeria in the city. It’s a fusion that works beautifully and adds to the charm.

The slices are massive—honestly big enough to share—and perfect if you like thin crust that’s light, not doughy. I love that I never have to leave the crust behind. Today I picked up an extra-large Hawaiian pizza for just $20 cash, and it was delicious: hot, fresh, and loaded with toppings.

It’s no surprise that Fresca is always booming. There are often lines out the door, but the team is fast, friendly, and consistent. There’s some seating in the back, tables outside, and even the washrooms are kept clean—despite the constant rush. Their commitment to quality and service really shines.

As a U of T student, it’s super convenient—just a short walk away. My friends and I stop by all the time during lunch or order in bulk for campus events. Fresca has earned a loyal following over the years, and for good reason.

They’ve received plenty of praise already, but I genuinely believe they deserve a Michelin star for what they do. Amazing food, hardworking people, and a one-of-a-kind blend of cultures that reflects the heart of Toronto.

If you haven’t tried Fresca Pizza yet, you’re missing out. Trust me—you’ll be hooked....

Fresca on College brings a slice of Italy to Toronto's dining scene, offering both whole pies and individual slices that showcase the flavors of authentic Italian cuisine. While the overall experience is enjoyable, there's a notable difference in quality and value between their slices and whole pies.

The standout feature at Fresca is undoubtedly the slices. For a wallet-friendly price of 5 dollars, patrons can indulge in a slice of pizza that embodies the essence of Italian flavors. The generous portions, combined with the convenience of a single serving, make the slices an appealing option for a quick and satisfying meal. The dough is typically well-crafted, providing a crisp yet chewy texture that serves as the perfect canvas for a variety of toppings.

However, the same level of excellence doesn't always extend to their whole pies. While the ingredients remain authentic and the flavors true to Italian traditions, there can be some variance in the execution. The quality that shines through in their slices can sometimes be diluted when ordering a whole pie, leaving patrons with an experience that doesn't quite match the excellence of the individual slices.

The ambiance and atmosphere at Fresca contribute to an overall pleasant experience. The casual and inviting setting is conducive to enjoying a slice with friends or indulging in a leisurely meal. The focus on offering both slices and whole pies caters to a range of dining preferences, making it a versatile choice for different occasions.

In summary, Fresca on College provides a taste of Italy through its authentic Italian flavors and convenient options. While the individual slices stand out as a more compelling choice due to their quality and value, the overall experience is still enjoyable and provides a satisfying culinary journey that captures the essence of...

For a run down looking pizza and pasta joint, the slice available here is amazing. You have the choice of either a pepperoni or margherita slice. I chose the margherita which was oh so good. The slice itself was pretty thin, but still didn't fold in on itself which was nice (you could eat it with one hand). The margherita here has mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, spices, and is topped with a delicious garlic sauce/oil. Due to the thinness, there was the perfect amount of crunch with each bite. It also wasn't overly greasy.

The pasta here was a different story. I ordered the spaghetti w/meatballs and was thoroughly disappointed. The spaghetti was just your basic noodles with tomato sauce and what seemed like your standard store bought grated parmesan cheese sprinkled throughout. The veal meatballs were overly salty and were a bit too dense for my liking.

The service here is also a mixed bag. When ordering a slice, service is super fast (although quite unfriendly). You could be in and out within minutes. However, for my pasta order, it took quite some time for them to prepare and it seemed as though they may have forgotten about it as they had to double check what I had ordered close to 15 minutes later.

The pricing here however, more than makes up for the somewhat lacking service. A slice of pizza here is only $3.75 which is amazing value and something you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Everything else on their menu looks reasonably priced as well.

Overall, a great place to come for a quick slice of pizza for super cheap. Just don't expect friendly service, and...

Fresca is a cornerstone of the Toronto food scene, especially for students. The classic $5 Margherita slice is hot, cheap and filling, and the garlic oil is popular, but they're not my favourite, despite some people claiming this is the best pizza in Toronto (which is a bit of a stretch). The pasta, on the other hand, is underrated!! The pasta puttanesca at Fresca (a tongue twister) is my current fixation. I would eat this every time I go downtown, if I could. The toothy, al dente pasta; the rich, spicy tomato sauce; the salty sprinkling of Parmesan cheese; the black olives; the fleshy, halved cremini mushrooms... it all combines for a filling, decadent, and varied bite that warms you up on a cold day! I also plan on calling ahead sometime to try their gourmet pizzas, which boast ingredients such as goat cheese, Italian sausage, dried tomatoes, and artichokes. The service is a well-oiled machine -- they sometimes handle a line of customers outside the door -- and usually done with a smile. Food is always hot and fresh, thanks to the huge pizza oven. Seating is somewhat limited, so I often take out, especially in the summer. My tip is to pay with cash so as not to pay the tax. Go to Fresca for a quick and tasty bite 😋
