There is no breakfast, at least for now, so be aware if you stay here you will need to go elsewhere for breakfast. The place is quite clean, though our bed was not comfortable.

Every time we called, i got the feeling he'd forgotten about us. There's no way to book the room on the website so we had to call, and even after the first conversation i wasn't confident. So we emailed closer to the date of our trip and asked if we're still on the calendar and he confirmed yes, and asked us to call the day of our trip. On the day we wrre heading up, we called in the morning and got an "oh...right...call an hour before you get here." So we called again an hour before and didn't get an answer. Finally about 15 minutes before we get there he picks up and we tell him we're almost there and he says "oh right, I'll let the housekeeper know." The whole process did not inspire confidence. My husband was also initally told we would get a room with a balcony but when we got there we were led to a room with no balcony and there was an electrician still working on an outlet. We sat outside for about 10 minutes waiting for him to finish.

The parking is not free. There is very limited parking behind the house, and they charge $15/day to park. We left our car there and walked/bussed everywhere because we didn't want to lose our parking.

The best things about the BnB are 1) location - they are close to chinatown and the Kensington market area, and in general are pretty centrally located. Toronto is fairly easy to get around using public transportation too. 2) price is pretty good, but you also aren't getting a whole lot. 3) there is a nice Bechstein grand piano on the...

Beware! I don't recommend staying there during winter. The B&B does not plow its parking lot, and I had to use the TTC to get to meetings instead of my car as it was stuck. When I asked why they have not cleared the parking area, they indicated they never do, and that they are not responsible for cars getting stuck in their parking lot! She indicated they say this to everyone, but "forgot to tell me." In any case, it took over 3 hours, and a missed medical appointment to get out of there, not to mention the inconvenience of having to take the TTC around for a day, walking to nearby fast-food restaurants out of necessity and changing my plans. I had to help shovel my car out, and they did not even refund me for the inconvenience. So, if you stay when it is cold enough to snow, be prepared that you may need to extend your stay. To be fair, location was convenient and my room was clean but no shampoo and other amenities were provided aside from a bar of soap! Also, website says parking is free, but they charge $15/night and indicated website was...

I had booked two rooms back in February for two nights in August. Beverley Place had sounded wonderful and was in a convenient location. The owner, Bill, seemed nice. We confirmed by email and I followed up every couple months. I checked again in early July. Bill confirmed we had the two rooms we requested with private baths. I think the next day he called and wanted to move one of us to another building, since he had people that were booking more than 2 nights. I was unhappy and said I would talk to my friend and get back to him. He then sent an email canceling our reservation. Said "there were too many problems". Bottom line was that he could get more money from a booking now, than when we made the booking when he had few customers. ||We are having to pay more for hotel rooms booking the month before our trip than we would have had to in February since most hotels are full and the other bed and breakfasts I...

This was a great find for my visit to the university! The owner was very friendly and helpful to arrange for my trip. The room was downstairs and had its own bathroom and kitchen. Aside from the lack of a living room, mosquitoes in the entrance, this was super!! The staff changed my bedding and towels everyday! Also, this place was surprisingly quiet. But the location was walking distance to everything I need to check out.
