This was one of our favourite stops on our vacation to Toronto
We were immediately greeted by lovely staff, who then gave us a tour for free!!! We were shocked!
We got to see beautiful clothing exhibits with different patterns and embroideries and got to hear stories about where they're from, who donated them, how they got here, etc. This is the most enjoyable and informative tour we've ever been on.
The gift shop has plenty to look through, and you can bring home beautiful hand made art- preserving beautiful traditional handcrafted Ukranian craftwork. The gift shop items help pay for the museum so make sure to buy something or donate, so they can continue to provide free education for the public and preservation of Ukranian history! The prices are very reasonable.
The tour itself was very engaging, the guide was very lovely and showed us locations on a map as we walked along the exhibits. This really added to the experience as we felt we learned more about how different geographical areas of Ukraine have different cultural practices and innovations.
