OLD.K CHICKEN BURGERS (Downtown) — Restaurant in Toronto

During the recent back-to-school season, I was so busy that I had to rely on takeout to keep me alive. I stumbled upon Old K's Fried Chicken on an external group and was surprised to see that they had such a great deal during the back-to-school season. I decided to give it a try.

Package A: The Spicy Fried Chicken Leg Sandwich is huge and satisfying. The chicken is fried until crispy and flavorful, and the breading is crispy and fragrant. The meat is tender and smooth, and every bite brings a delightful spicy surprise! It comes with a crispy and tender McChicken, which has a rich flavor and a variety of textures. Plus, I love the Butter Corn Cup, which has a rich aroma of butter and perfectly balanced with the corn kernels. The refreshing Sprite completes the set, making me feel extremely satisfied. And it only costs $7.99, which is cheap and delicious!

The Molten Cheese Pan Sandwich: The thick layer of cheese on top is enough to make anyone hungry. The cheese melts in your mouth, making it a delightful experience for cheese lovers. The chicken is also fried until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly blending with the cheese for an amazing texture. The milkiness is rich and satisfying with every bite.

Spicy Mexican Chicken Roll: It really tastes like KFC in China! The spiciness is just right, and the chicken is generous in portion. The vegetables are also fresh. Every bite is a familiar taste, bringing back so many childhood memories! The crispy exterior has a slight chewiness, complementing the multi-layered texture. It's like going back to the KFC store from my childhood with every bite!

Very solid chicken tenders! So I got the daily walk in special which was $6.99 and an additional tender and fries for $3.99 total $12.41 after tax. The chicken tender on the side was fire extremely juicy and well breaded. I got the spicy and it was solid not very spicy but had some flavor. The fries were very meh they added some spice to it but still wasn't great could of been thicker and crispier. The chicken sandwich was 2 chicken tenders, mayo,lettuce and bun. It was a solid burger overall especially for the price though I preferred the chicken tender by its self though. Next time I'll probably try the house sauce and chicken tenders. If highly recommend the chicken tenders super juicy and flavourful. Staff was also very nice and food was made in less than 10 minutes. cheap for a reason. i bit into the chicken burger and got met with a mouth blistering heat causing me to immediately spit it out, had to wait about 10mins until it was "edible". the crisp on the outside at parts was as hard as rock and could've chipped my teeth, the chicken itself was also stringy and unpleasant with notable cartilage. the "cheese fries" are cheap taco bell tier cheddar sauce which is cold on some of the most mediocre skinny fries ive ever had for the price of about 2x the quantity and quality that i recieved.

the other people i was with experienced similar issues to a much lesser to degree so i guess i just got especially shafted.
