Galaxy T&T has a huge loyal customer base for a reason and we’re one of them, we have been coming here for years. Simply put, this small shop in the heart of Bloordale Village makes arguably the best fresh pressed fruit and vegetable drinks in the GTA. And while it may be arguable that others match their inventive flavour combos and flavour quality (we’re open to hearing about who that might be, btw) one thing we can say for certain is that no one can match their value for money. Getting 500 ml of freshly pressed juice for $8 - $9 is simply the best deal in the city (btw, for any American visitors out there that’s 16 oz for, at time of writing, $6 - $6.75 - sigh).
They also serve up a pretty darn good Bành Mí. They don’t serve the OG cold cuts version, but they do prepare delicious meat fillings like grilled pork, roast chicken and delicious pâté (as well as a vegetarian tofu version), accompanied by assorted fresh veggies (cucumbers; shredded carrots; hot peppers). While their version isn’t our favourite in the GTA (their bread isn’t quite up to the same level of fresh crispiness of our favs), it’s always tasty, generous and at $8 is great value for money.
*Note: be prepared to line up and wait for your order, especially on those hot summer days. These folks are popular and make each drink to order; it’s worth the wait!

Read moreStumbled across this spot and was hungry for some Banh Mi and Fresh Sugar Cane Juice. It's been quite a while since I had fresh sugarcane juice and the ones I had in Vietnam was very sweet and tasty.
This place seems to have been here for quite some times and the inside is totally old and filled with cobwebs. We didn't go inside because the order was made outside. But you can see the inside through the order window.
The Banh Mi is NOT your traditional Banh Mi with assorted Vietnamese sausages, cillantro, cucumbers, paté, and homemade butter. The Banh Mi here is made with grilled chicken, or grilled pork. Not authentic, bread is old and soggy.
The Sugar Cane Juice was just like other people have said, quite bland and filled with ice so it wasn't as sweet as you would expect.
I think if the business owners actually serve authentic Banh Mi, they would do much better. Being a little more clean would help with...
Read moreI go into this place at least twice a week - unbeatable selection of fresh smoothies and bubble teas under $6 for a large 20oz size, with jelly and tapioca available. Very tasty and satisfying banh mis, soups, and rice dishes are also available. Vegan-friendly and super affordable. I've ordered four drinks with boba, a tofu banh mi, and a braised chicken on rice for under $25. We ate like a damn king and spent like peasants. Their food and drinks are to die for, but more importantly, the people who work at Galaxy T&T are the kindest, friendliest, and most humble people in the world. They could be selling their drinks and food for double the price, but they still let me off the hook if I'm short 20 cents. I can't rave about this place enough. They'll have my support forever!...
