I ordered a medium size pasta and the waitress acknowledged that I wanted medium size and not large. When I got the bill it said large and I told the waitress that I didn’t know I ate a large portion since this is my first time coming. She gaslit me and said “well you ate it did you not?” and further said “sometimes I don’t look at what you point on the menu.” However, I clearly saw her look at the menu and acknowledged what I requested because she asked to confirm twice. She was very rude and ruined my experience at the restaurant even though I enjoyed the food. She did not have to be this rude to a first time customer expecting me to know what portion I was served.

To give more context to the conversation since I remember everything she said. I first asked for a medium size and she said a small size? And I said no and I pointed on the menu and said medium size. And she looked and said oh yes a medium size pasta. My friend asked how big is a large pasta and she gave an approximate and said do you just want a regular size pasta and my friend said yes. First off I wanna say that the service here is incredible. They're still soft opening and it seems like there's only two guys working here but they were both so polite, patient, and friendly. We had a big group of 9 with two split bills, so it wasn't easy to deal with us lol. They even divided our two orders of calamari onto three plates so that it would be easier for the whole table to reach 🥺

In terms of food, I'd say everything was 4.5/5. I think my favourite thing was the garlic bread bc who knew it would taste so good with balsamic glaze??! I mean, this restaurant did and they did a good thing. The fried calamari was also really light and crunchy and not greasy at all. The only recommendations would be that the risotto needed something acidic to counter all the creaminess (the risotto portion was so big too... could definitely make 2-3 meals out of it) and the grilled salmon was a bit dry.

In terms of price, they were super reasonable. All pastas were under $18 and the only "pricey" things were of course the steak or fish.
