Gourmet Kitchen 粵港小炒 — Restaurant in Toronto

Used to eat here, but now no more! Phoned in and picked up an order of three fried noodle beef with vegetables dishes. When i arrived back home it was a fried rice noodle dishes instead. I would have kept it, however it was disgusting and i paid $30 so I called and said they made a mistake. The woman (who can hardly speak any English) kept saying fried rice noodles even though i said I orderd fried noodles with beef and vegetables which is stated on the menu then she said "im busy" and hung up the phone. I did the 20 mins drive back in a freezing rain storm, showed her the menu on what I ordered. I told her it was not nice for her to hang up and to please replace my order. She did it while speaking out very rude and criticizing me in Chinese to her other co-workers.

This was one of the worst customer service...

Their party trays are not cheap at all. However, they have these new lunch specials (only in Chinese) that are a pretty good deal. Mom got the not quite soy sauce chicken that I can't say in English (Tai yeh chicken?) for $4.75. It came with a chicken leg quarter cut up Chinese style (chopped into pieces), a decent amount of Chinese veg, and rice. The chicken was juicy and I call it not quite soy sauce because it's soy sauce based, but it's also sweet and quite smokey. It's what all soy sauce chicken wants to be when it grows up. I'll be back for this meal, but I'm still hesitant to pay regular prices for most of their other meals. Quality is decent, but even at a decent quality, most of their stuff can be made...

The new 'boss' woman is unprofessional. She used to just be a cashier at this location so I don't know what happened. The man who owns the store is still here so they definitely did not sell this store to another person. Never smiles and seems to hate her life and job. This new woman gives out orders late and messes them up. Refuses to acknowledge her mistakes because she lacks the decency and communication skills. My family's friends and I used to visit this location and the regular lady in charge was so kind and actually cared about the people and...
